Many people also discount the pressure of playing for a Team who's appearance in the Post Season has become all but a lock over the past decade and a half. And for which anything LESS than the Conference Finals, EVERY YEAR, is an EPIC FAILURE. And epic failure for which the GOALTENDING is held mostly responsible. No matter WHAT the actual case may be.

As others have stated, the Ducks would be foolish to jettison Giguere. Hiller is simply not that good. Think Cechmanek. Think Turek. Think Johnson. Think Aebischer.

Ya know, I couldn't care less that those of us FANS who never doubted Oz get any kind of recognition for it. What I'm hoping for, should the hockey karma juju gods smile on us and we lift the Cup again, is that everyone who ever doubted Ozzie, who called him a "piece of ****", "a worthless human being", and stated without doubt or reservation that he was "done", and that he would SUCK in the Play Offs, would line up in front of his house, (and that line would snake 'round the block a FEW times), offer their sincere apology, and then bend over and allow him to proffer the swift kick in the ass they so richly deserve.

I can't believe you just used the words "money goalie" and "Luongo" in the same sentence. Roberto Luongo is not "money". Roberto Luongo is "loose change". And you can take THAT to the bank.

In all fairness, some of us did. We just did. Based on many things. Most of which we were ridiculed for, as many posters called him a "piece of ****", a "worthless human being", and practically demanded that he be waived and/or sent down to the minors, never to don the Winged Wheel again. And most of THOSE types of statements.... Were made with great authority by "people with their nose held up high" who accused those of us who did, in fact, have 100% faith, of being blind, stupid, or worse. Oz has played well. Better than well. As a few of us KNEW he would....as he, his TEAMMATES and his COACH, told you he would. Hopefully he continues to do so. The Wings need him. Perhaps some are starting to realize for the first time.... That he's no "weak link". He's not "along for the ride". And that the Wings need Osgood at least as much as he needs them.

It was just funny to hear his broadcasting partner in the background with the "tch! tch!! tchtchtch!!!!" as Brian paused......then resumed what he was saying in a "sick to my stomach" voice.

I don't have the words. Or maybe I do..... ATTENTION MrSandMan: I was wrong. You were right. You lucky folks in Detroit, enjoy the Wings feed, (unfortunately I'm stuck with the ducks feed, and had to turn it off.....). Oh....and speaking of the ducks announcers: I'd like to thank Brian Hayward for his "since this is likely our last HOME broadcast this year, I'd like to thank....." speech during the waning minutes of Game 6.

In all fairness...(and I'm pissed, myself.....), please bear in mind that last year, the Wings didn't play a Team that was one year removed from sullying the Cup with the filthy paws. The scumbags know "what it takes", too....

This is clear-cut, JUSTIFIED frustration with a Wings Team that FAILED TO SHOW UP against a ONE LINE TEAM, that didn't even play well, but got the victory regardless. There is a VAST difference between the two. This was a pathetic effort from the Wings for the first FIFTY FIVE minutes of the Game? You want sunshine and Kumbayah sentiments? Hogwash! The Wings THREW this Game in the garbage. And NOW.... They face a hungry, confident, "history is on our side", "we're the Team of Destiny" Team, in a TOTALLY UNNECESSARY Game 7. Great job. YOU go 'head and post "happy thoughts". With all due respect, some of us are PISSED!

I am gonna say it.... The ONLY Wing who showed up to play was Chris Osgood. The rest? Get out your golf clubs. You didn't deserve this Game. And I know I'm gonna be slammed by the optimists for this post...... TELL ME they don't deserve to have their throats TORN OUT for this effort. The Game was RIGHT THERE...within their grasp....
