It's hardly new age rhetoic. It's just the way hockey is sometimes. We lost because (1) Lidstrom's shot hit the post, one millimeter left and it was a 2-0 lead and (2) because a seemingly harmless shot off goal deflected off Lidstrom's errant stick and into the net with 47 left.

It was always gonna happen guys. The puck can't bounce your way that much and still lose. It didn't matter what we did, the puck just wouldn't have gone in. It wasn't meant to be.

You guys have been ridiculously harsh to Kronwall. This thread has become a joke. Some fans have such short memories. I can't fathom hoe someone can sit there and say he's possibly the worst d-man in the NHL. He was't even the worst for a majorly stacked Wings D corps. Some of you need to get real. Gees.

Serious question - did Vancouver even try to score in games 5 or 6? I watched them on and off (it was pretty easy to lose interest) and if Vancouver reated any sort of scoring chances I missed em. Point - they were two of the easiest shutouts a goalie could earn. I'm not sure about Dallas' first shutout in game 2, I didn't see any of it.

I live in Australia and watched a game between Detroit and Colorado on March 26th 1997. Perhaps some of you remember it. That sparked my love for the game which became a passion. Not much of a story I know but that's pretty much why I'm a Wing. -
I'd feel more comfortable with a Wings/Avs series. I do think we can and should knock off the Flames. Going all the way might be beyond this team though. I still just feel there's others out there that want it more.

Who cares if anyone predicts a Wings first round exit. For that matter, who cares if Ken Hitchcock thinks the Wings are a good team. Opinions won't win cups. Opinions are worthless. As far as I'm concerned Detroit hasn't proven s*** this year. Now they can, and what they do from here on is all I'm concerned with.

It was dull because for 78 minutes it was obvious who would score the next goal. As if the Stars can win an OT game without shootouts. Goodnight Dallas. Another 1st round exit to be proud of.
