Nah, Mario just gives Bettman a ringy-dingy and asks for a few more.

Jussi Jokinen from Carolina to Pittsburgh for conditional pick, pending conference call.

So, who gets shipped out of Pittsburgh then? They're not going to have nearly enough money to sign everyone they need.
-
This whole team doesn't instill confidence. The only player out there I can feel good about is Datsyuk.
-
Shouldn't be able to do Penguins broadcasts either, but it's not like this league has any integrity anymore or anything.
-
Olczyk is LOSING HIS MIND that Toews DARED get called for a delay of game penalty.
-
I love that Ken Holland isn't going to do a thing to improve this team. Returnees from injury aren't "deadline acquisitions", no matter how many times you repeat it.
-
Wow. Embarrassment.
-
"I like our team." -Ken Holland "Hey Kenny? You're a ******* idiot." -Me Welcome to this debacle, Monster.
-
That's what Holland keeps saying...
-
Gordie actually looks pretty good.
-
So, Tigers are on a little after 4, right...?
-
If we were winning, we'd be hearing him talk about "subtle interference" to no end.
-
Motherf... Coulda sworn that was in. So close.
-
Don't feel bad, the Wings did too.
-
Too much to hope that Babcock spits in Pierre's face and tells him to give it to Edzo next time he sees him?
-
So confirmed tampering via Iginla. And the league does nothing. One set of rules for Crosby, another for the rest of the league. As per usual.
-
Question here... I've heard allegations of tampering in this whole situation, the complaints originating from how Crosby's camp allegedly contacted Iginla to convince him to come to Pittsburgh. Since Iginla was not a free agent and was still under contract to the Flames at the time, does that idea hold any water? Obviously, it's impossible to prove, but interesting to think about (considering how Crosby has been allowed to skirt the league's rules in the past).
-
EXACTLY. Boston had the clearly better deal on the table. If Iginla truly cared about the Flames improving through this deal as he so claims, he would have signed with Boston. Instead, he screws the Flames, burns a bridge between Chiarelli and Feaster, all to play on a team that'll probably be ousted in the 1st round of the postseason again.
-
Exactly. Chiarelli even said they had an agreement to scratch players in preparation for the trade. Iginla was lying from the start - there was never a list of four teams he would go to contingent on his NTC. There was only one. Boston had the better offer and he vetoed it to the detriment of the Calgary Flames.
-
To me, Iginla's choice of Pittsburgh over Boston (which clearly had the better trade offer) is just a big middle finger to Calgary. If he truly cared about bettering Calgary as he was leaving, Boston would have been the choice. I've never liked Iginla, seen too much dirty goonery from him (spearing, fighting while readjusting his visor as he does so, etc.). Only thing he needs to learn to fit in on that Pittsburgh squad is a good reverse 1 1/2 somersault to draw some penalties.
-
That was the best laugh I've had all day.
-
f***. I'm tapping out. I don't think I want to watch the playoffs this year.

Just saw this posted from the Boston Bruins' Twitter account: Iginla? Maybe?
