Avs have had an advantage in the playoffs, and the Wings have always had an advantage in the regular season so I have to Pick Wings as much as it pains me. Wings 4-3 (SO), P.S. I don't expect Parker to play tonight, as our call up Cody Mcleod has been playing some nice physical hockey, so I'd expect him in the line up instead.

A day later the local news had footage of him berating Chris Simon in front of the whole team for not retaliating for that hit and Simon was benched for the rest of the playoffs.

Oh so you've sat next to everyone in that arena? I for one don't say it. How can you equate intelligence with hatred for a rival. They say it to show they don't like the Wings not that they really think they suck. And how are you as a Red Wing fan any better than those who chant "Red Wings Suck" when you and others refer to them as divealanche, avsmonkeys, etc. If indeed you equate intelligence with not saying stupid things about other teams then you my friend lack hockey knowledge too. Before I get blasted from a bunch of you, please realize I'm just trying to make a point with GMRwings, I respect the majority of the Wing fans on this forum especially the ones that respect me.

Joking aside, why do you make such generalizations about hockey knowledge for Colorado fans when you're dealing with fans that are aged 15-21 on these forums. Professional Hockey has been in Colorado since 1950. So many fans that are now Colorado fans were likely fans of other NHL teams(I for one followed the North Stars). So just because we didn't have the NHL for very long doesn't mean the majority of Avs fans know nothing about hockey. Hockey is Hockey no matter what level you are watching. Talent levels are the only difference (and rink size if you're in Europe). So the fans that think Joe is better than Steve probably weren't alive yet when Stevie broke into the league. They've grown up watching Joe so what do you expect them to say. So forgive some of these young ones that have better things to do than open a book on the history of NHL hockey.

Not so sure about that, wasn't Detroit ranked first in crime in the nation, I'm pretty sure alot of those criminals are Redwing fans.

Assuming Columbus, St. Louis, and Chicago continue to improve through the season should benefit the Wings when the playoffs roll around, by forcing the Wings to play some games that matter toward the end of the season. But IMO, even with these teams improving, I still think the Wings will run away with the division.

I got to give the Wings players and management credit, excluding some playoff disappointment, year after year they just get the job done.

Thank you. I just don't understand the pure hatred of a few towards Forsberg. I understand not liking him cause he was an Av, but a few of you seem to hate him as a person. He was a great player and fun to watch. I don't have any Red wing players that I "hate" I dislike many, but that comes from how hard they play against us and the success they have against us. Holmstrom was probably one of my least favorite cause how hard he plays in front of the net, but is he the kind of player I love to see on playing in my town? hell yes, cause of the way he plays (if I could swallow the fact that he played for the Wings ) Like I said its just a few that seem to "hate" him, most of you dislike him, but respect what he has given to the game of Hockey.

From what I've read is that DIsh does have it, but only in the HD version. If I remember correctly Dish said it will launch a SD version in 08 (but not sure). There is the NFL network, NBA tv, not sure if there is a MLB channel. So I guess I just don't get what you're talking about.

Just thought I let ya all know DTV is showing the Sabres/ Panthers game IN HD an SD on channel 215, I think this is just a sneak peak of the Network on DTV, which is supposed to be on full time before the end of october.

As far as them coming back in the spring for the playoffs, I thought there was a rule that if they haven't signed by a certain date they could not play that year. Correct me if I'm wrong.

No offense guys, but I was at that game and it happened in front of me, the video shows Murray with his helmet off, but he didn't take it off himself. Lappy ripped it off him. They didn't square up so there was no time for him to take his helmet off. They just went right after each other. On a side note I just think its kinda funny all this debate is going on right now about "the code" when I'm reading the book "The Code."

Just wondering if there are any fans of T.J. here since he played at Michigan. He's been playing great for the Avs with 3 g and 3 a and a +3 in 3 games. He's so fast too. Hope he makes the team this year.

Ahh, come on...So he doesn't deserve to play with the other #19. You can hate the jersey, but do you really still hate the players that "now" fill those jerseys?

The Avs have 6+ million left to spend, but if he went to the Avs he'd have to play wing or 3rd line center, which I doubt he would do. BTW I think this is funny considering Forsberg did say that if he decided to play this year it would be for either Philly, Nashville, Colorado, or Modo. I tend to believe his words vs. Eklunds.

The Avs still have over 6 mill left in cap room, of course they still have to sign Svatos too.

I had no idea that you guys are getting raked that bad for playoff tickets. Those prices are crazy. As a season ticket holder for the Avs I too, probably would not get playoffs at those prices, so i don't blame the fans one bit. Just an example of what Avs would have charged if they made it to the playoffs were my seats are.
