We need more room - so Holland need to trade Flip and Kronwall (if we are going after another DEF). Next season, they need to find room for Leino and that means bye-bye Sammy. I would let Hudler go as RFA we are going to receive some draft picks (I think that Edmonton is going to offer him $4M, ref: Vanek, Penner...) and then it's Hossa or Franzen... Don't forget that Homer isn't getting any younger - we will need to replace him in couple of years, and we will need to go after DEF I think that Lidstrom will retired next season - don't know how but If we can find some room and sign Bouwemesteer it would be great. I would rather spend $10M and Bouwemesteer and Franzen than $8M on Hossa.

It smells like conspiration to me - they (DEF) hate Osgood... We should trade all DEF and keep Osgood...

I agree with you on first one - Look at Bruins this season, they are playing great. Thornton is having a nice, really nice season. Why we can't have a guy like him on our 4th line? I have to disagree with you one 2nd - We have a lot of similar players (with similar style) and yes - sometimes we are boring to watch. We don't have character players, hard hitting forwards or even def. Kronwall isn't hitting like last year... We NEED 4th line (energy line) Maltby and Draper aren't doing their job and we should go in another direction. There is a lot of physical Euro's in NHL - we don't have any physical player on this roster.

Nice to see Abdelkader in but sad to see Downey out... Abdelkader - Draper - Downey should be good energy line. Why not waive Maltby and send his ass down?

Maybe we should just put Downey in net (instead of Osgood), we are going to have same "quality" of goaltending and some grit/fighting ability... it's win-win situation... Downey can't SUCK more that Osgood so far...
