Martin is a strong skater. I have no idea where are you going with this. Even KH admitted that he needs bigger and tougher players... I guess in your ideal world, KH will bring Flip and Hudler back and call it a day. We have fashion models and not hockey players... Lucic, Martin are hockey players.

He will end up in Vegas...next year... 4th line = Grind Line What are our options? Jurco, Pulks and Frk are drafted as a skilled players not grinders. 4th line options, we don't have.

Well we need to replace Dats. We need to replace Richards. We might have to replace Helm. We were already looking for top six forwards... so it's possible to see 3-4 new players.

6'-5" rookie goal scorer who needs time to play so you give him quality minutes. Adding top defensemen is a need and a wise move. There is nothing similar between Miller and Martin. Why we can't add Martin if we already have Miller? I don't see the point. Miller is coming from serious injury (maybe his contract is Cleary 2.0) and Martin is one of the most physical player in NHL and I don't see who else do we have (right now) who can play Martin style in Detroit. We need effective 4th liners not Jurco/Pulks on the 4th line.

Trade both Nyquist and TATAR for defensive help and bring Mantha on top 2 lines. Larkin - Stamkos - Lucic Abdelakader - Z - Mantha AA - She - Jurco Miller - LG - Martin Devante Smith-Pelly forward depth DeKe - Trouba/Shatty Smith - Green Kronwall - Errorson Marchenko

Martin is a hard hitting and a hard worker 4th liner who is very effective while playing on the 4th line. We don't have these type of player as we are playing skilled (Pulks/Jurco) which are not able to contribute as 4th liners.

If we can get Stamkos and Lucic, I would trade Nyquist, Tatar, Pulks with Errorson (to get rid of his contract) defensive help. We can get a young and quality top defensemen à la Trouba/Shatty. Sign Martin and DSP for depth at forward position.

As far as neither of plan is Flip-flop and Hudler I'm fine

Based on what he's on decline? He's only 27, played last year on a new team... how can you jump on conclusion that he's on decline???

I would go 6x6 for Lucic. Put him on line with Larkin and Tatar and he will create space for them and we will get someone who will be able to score "ugly-playoff" type goals. He's young, big, tough and mean. Hopefully he will not end up as a McDavid winger. I could be wrong but we can get Stamkos and Lucic... we have enough cap space? Martin is on my wishlist as well. True 4th liner.

$12M for Stamkos (young superstar) is a lot of money but KH might not have a choice than to match Buffalo's offer. Stamkos is still young and once again, he's a superstar. Even with Dats we were looking for top six forward and now its a MUST
