Dustin Brown, Dustin Brown, Dustin Brown, Dustin Brown...

https://twitter.com/#!/DarrenDreger/status/172862647467917312 I say YES - top six forward with Right hand shot - PERFECT FIT for Zetterberg and Flip!!! Kindl/Hudler and 2nd for Brown

Are you talking about Dustin Brown?

Alfi is the perfect fit IMO - but that's not going to happen. I would be more than happy with big Gaustad for the 3rd line. Franzen - Dats - Bert Flip - Zetterberg - Hudler (I don't like him but there is no need to break this line) Cleary - Gaustad - Eaves/Abdel Miller - Helm - Homer/Abdel Lids - White Kronwall - Stuart Quincey - Smith/E/Computer/Kindl The King Howard Mc

Kyle Quincey traded to Detroit in 3 team trade (TBL & COL)
Dominator2005 replied to Tim.D's topic in General
C'mon guys, noboby belived that Detroit will be so good this season... Kenny is great architect, he traded LATE 1st rounder for Quincey - I think that we can agree that he's top 4 quality D. He will find suckers in Montreal/Islanders/Blue Jackets/Edmonton and trade Kindl for the 2nd rounder which will equal our 1st rounder. P.S. Note to Kenny, Ericsson for Peckhman and our DEF is fine. -

1st rounder for Quincey... We are going to pick at last place so it isn't that bad, our 1st rounders are kind of very, very late (which is a great news for us). Let's trade Kindl to Islanders for their 2nd and it makes sense. -

So I guess Moen and Gill could be the targets. Moen for the 3rd line would be perfect fit with Cleary and Helm. Fot the def I have to agree with Mr. Malik regarding Allen. I don't think we are going to get Ruutu - IMO he would be the best fit for the 2nd line... but we are still team to beat.

Moen would be good pick up but there is no way that Holland should trade Xavier at this point.

Allen or Carkner...

Red Wings hope Winter Classic can persuade Nicklas Lidstrom to return
Dominator2005 posted a topic in General
http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2012/02/red_wings_hope_lure_of_winter.html The Red Wings are turning up the pressure on Lidstrom to return next season, telling him – and anyone who'll listen – that the 41-year-old defenseman shouldn't retire with such a huge event looming, a chance to play the Toronto Maple Leafs before a world-record crowd of 115,000. "I'm hoping this game will convince Nick, and with how our team is playing, to come back for one more year," general manager Ken Holland said. "The possibilities are incredible." The ever-optimistic coach Mike Babcock is convinced Lidstrom will return. "He'll be back. He'll be back," Babcock said. "He's too good to quit and our team's too good. I was concerned this year was going to be his last if our team wasn't good enough. Our team is good enough and he's good enough. "I think there's one more (year) for sure. He's never going to let his skill diminish and he's not interested in playing on a bad team. I know (Tomas) Holmstrom wants to play and he's working on him every day. They're like two kids together." Lidstrom said he'll make his decision after the season. "It (Winter Classic) is only one game, but it's an intriguing one," Lidstrom said. "We'll have to wait and see." For what it's worth, he added, "I think it's going to be an unbelievable feeling to walk through that (Michigan Stadium) tunnel and play a hockey game." Teammates are hopeful. "I think this will be perfect." Niklas Kronwall said. "It really gives him another reason to continue for another year. I think it's pretty good timing." Said Pavel Datsyuk: "He's going to play at least two more years." -
Will there be an impact trade by the wings?
Dominator2005 replied to Wingydingy19's topic in General
I think that Holland may go after Gill or Allen for DEF depth... Other than that maybe Moen as physical playoff presence and good PK... -

http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=386420 Toughening Up? The Detroit Red Wings open the second half of the season as the top team in the league, and not surprisingly they're looking to add some talent at, or before, the trade deadline. Gregg Krupa of the The Detroit News reports that the club is looking to get tougher with the playoffs looming, and head coach Mike Babcock revealed his wish-list. "To me, if we could get another heavy winger, or heavy forward, or D - those would all be good things to help you," Babcock told the News. Read the full report here: http://m.detnews.com/sports/article?a=2012201300303&f=1209 Note to Kenny: Tuomo Ruutu.

I might be wrong but as far as I can remember we were losing against Dallas... 3rd game 1st Dallas Drake's shift, he delivered 3 huge hits and that might have changed that particular series. Dallas Drake type of players can't hurt you, playing 8 to 10 minutes a game with high energy...

Accordingly to : http://toutsurlehockey.com/11343/rumeurs/de/transactions/tslh/CAR/2012-01-30/les-jours-de-tuomo-ruutu-en-caroline-seraient-comptes/ asking price for Ruutu is 1st round pick and prospect but they are always wrong. http://espn.go.com/blog/nhl/post/_/id/14334/trade-rumblings-ruutu-carter-on-move Speaking of grit, Habs winger Travis Moen is garnering some interest around the league. He’s an unrestricted free agent on July 1 and would be a decent rental pickup for a contender looking for a bit more of a physical presence on their third line. Vancouver and Detroit are among several teams that have an eye on him, although one NHL source told ESPN.com that Montreal GM Pierre Gauthier is telling teams he’s not ready to sell yet. The Canadiens play eight of their next 12 games at home and the word is Gauthier wants to see if his team can make a run before pulling the plug.
