It was Hossa who called Holland and said that he wanted to play for Detroit... Holland was surprised...

Lukowich = was a joke / sarcasm Bogosian = I don't why but I have a lot of trust in Bob McKenzie, but as you said maybe that was only speculation -

Well Holland just missed again... Is Bogosian still available or not? -

WIZ -
I believe that McKenzie is expecting cap to be at $69M next season... but yes, from your point of view I have to agree 100% with you - but I think that $4M/$4.5M (without Ericsson at $2.5M) should be enough. I think that Wiz would like to play for Detroit and would take less than "better" deal from ex. Panthers... but again from economical point of view I have to agree with you 100%.

I wish Hud's all luck, 100 pts season, 50 goals season - but it wan't/can't happen in Detroit (see Leino situation). It's time to move on with Hudler. Jovo and Montador are capable of cleaning zone in front of Howard - it's huge upgrade over Ericsson/Salei... -
Then Holland just should go after Barker...

That DEF will bring Stanley back to Detroit - even with Hudler playing top six forward... I'm pretty much sure that he was injured vs. Sharks. -

I might be wrong but Ehroff was injured (knee and shoulder) during the playoffs... -
I would like to have Wiz but 5 years/$25M is just too much for him... There is no need to overpay, imagine how much Kronwall will be asking next year... I had chance to watch him with Montreal last season and he's not that good in own zone.
-
Well I have to agree with you... Cleary was problematic/finished type of player and turn out to be great pick up for Detroit. Barker has potential and he's young, playing with Lids or Kronwall will just help. Hudler for Barker?

Fixed for you!!! :rotflmao:

They are talking about 18.5K places in Québec. Configuration in Winnipeg arena allows to add at least 3k places - so it's not that bad. There is no problem with construction of new arena in Qc, problem is the way they settle "contract" with future "owner" of Nordiques P-K Péladeau. They didn't wanted to have Bell as partner (Bell will not allow new team in Qc area - they have parts of Montreal) so only other option was/is Videotron which is owned by P-K-P.
-
Johnny Boychuk is $1.75M player and you want to offer $2M to Ericsson - you must be crazy. He shouldn't get more than $1.25M to $1.5M (MAX)... and I'm a fan of Big E

Brian Rafalski announces retirement after 11 NHL seasons

This is a GREAT evaluation and I agree with you 1000%. Imagine next season our def: Lidstrom - Weber Kronwall - Bieksa/Wiz Stuart - Kindl -
Two words: Devin Setoguchi
-
I agree 100% with you. Peckham could be nice pick up, hard hitting stay at home def...

Why Pitkanen when Bieksa is/should be available and he's exactly what we need. He's right hand DEF who can play on 2nd PP unit, can play on PK, hits, fights... Then go after Grier and Konopka (very good on faceoff and PK) for PK unit and Detroit should be just fine. Get rid of Hudler for anything/anybody... Try to go after Nabokov and that's it! Bertuzzi is fine on 3rd/4th line. Holmstrom and Hudler are done. Rafalski back as 5th DEF at $2.5M anytime.

I'm not huge fan of Abdelkader but he's young and he can just get better. Babs likes him, he was on the ice for the game winning goal... Yes, he takes stupid penalties but he's young he can/will learn. If Babs is patient with Big E he will be patient with Abdelkader. You can't get rid of him because he provides GRIT and TOUGHNESS something Detroit needs more than anything. Question should be: what Kenny should do with Hudler?! He's creating scoring chances (nothing is going well) but in defensive zone (Boyle's goal) he's BRUTAL. Before starting calling for Modano I would rather try Tatar instead of Hudler... Detroit is still in good shape, I think that if they can found a way to win game 5, we will win this series.

Hasek won same Olympic gold medal - BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT HE CAN STILL PLAY AT NHL LEVEL!!! Checks, are you sure that you are talking about Roman Hamrlik?!?! Is he your "Orgasm Donor" or what?!?!? Even his parents can't say so many "good" things about him...
-
I'm saying that he's not 4th def in Montreal and he's supposed to be on Detroit 2nd pairing??? What are you smoking??? I'm in Québec and he's useless along with Spacek... When was the last time you had a "chance" to watch him? He's not the same player once he was in Calgary... With $4.5M you can do much better, but Hamrlik - OMG...
