McGrattan is on a tryout with Bruins (which already have Thornton, McQuid, Boychuk, Lucic, Campbell, Stuart, Reich...) He was really solid against Habs last week. McGrattan CAN skate, fight, hit... So yes, if Holland is looking for enforcer (at least is what he's saying every summer that Detroit needs to get tougher) I just don't see why he don't go after McGrattan.

I agree 100%. There is no need to attack Ozzie - it's only preseason!!! Howard is # 1 and Ozzie will be there when needed. I was watching B's vs. Habs and was impressed with McGratten, he can really skate, hit and pass. Maybe Holland should have him (instead of Downey) in camp... McQuaid right hand DEF) is the BEAST!!!

Holland already traded Avery for Schneider so I wouldn't be surprised that he trades Abdelkader. Me, I wouldn't do it - simply fact Abdelkader is young 3rd line center, who can score some goals (he need some PT otherwise he will not develop at full potential) and only player with balls who will fight.
