According to the paper, the Detroit Red Wings supposedly showed interest in Halak last month, while the St. Louis Blues are also eyeing the 24-year-old. Former Canadiens head coach and current NHL analyst Jacques Demers claims as many as "three or four teams" are interested in Halak. Despite the attention Halak has received of late, La Presse journalist Richard Labbé suggests the Canadiens should hang on to their No.2 netminder. Halak is making only $775,000 this season and will become a restricted free agent this summer. He isn't likely to command a grossly high salary, simply because he hasn't played enough at the NHL level. However, many believe Halak will become a No.1 goalie soon enough and the Czech native is willing to wait his turn. It's uncertain, at this point, if Canadiens GM Bob Gainey will bite on an offer for Halak, but La Presse suggests it would take a significant deal for the Habs to pull the trigger.

You see Ozzy lovers will ALWAYS bash all other goalies that we have/had in Detroit. Even if we had Brodeur they are able to find something wrong/bad about him. Let it go! Osgood was OUTPLAYED last season see Conklin but he was great in playoff's... something that could happen again this season (if we are able to make playoff's)
