Boyle shoot was perfect... hard to blame Mrazek when Marchenko made an error in offensive zone. DeKe and Marchenko were brutal tonight. Winnipeg needs LHD, about same age and potential as Trouba. They don't need more forwards. It seems like Larkin was asking price for Shattenkirk but even that wasn't confirmed.

If you are saying that Q is a good player than don't use Franson as another exemple. It doesn't mean that he'should a top 4 defensemen being paid +$4M defensemen as he was massively overpaid. FA is about first 24-48 hours and after that available players are band aid. I could see him going to either Dallas or Ottawa as a 5th/6th defensemen on a short deal. There is absolutely no reason that a true top 4 defensemen FA is still available.

If he can develop into Wayne Simmonds - wow : in couple of years we should have kind of roster : Mantha - Larkin - Smith Svechnikov - AA - Bertuzzi Abdelkader - Nielsen - Z Helm - LG - "BEEF" Tatar, Nyquist, Jurco, Pulks traded for defensive help. We will have most expensive 3rd line in NHL.

No way that package brings Trouba and no way Trouba signs 8/4M$. Do you really think that KH has what it takes to trade 7 players??? Do you really think that Fowler is that much of upgrade over Smith?

As it goes for defensive help, instead of going for Fowler (another 4th def) why not go after Dumba? It's not like going after Hudler and Quincey is not something he has already done... it is a typical KH move so yes, we can expect everything from KH.

KH will invite Hudler (top 6 forward) and Quincey (top 4 defensemen) to training camp... Question for KQ lovers: why he's still available?

Yeah, pretty much same "toughness"... this is like us playing against the Habs and Plekanec is enforcing the Wings

Ott is a 4th liner and his presence/absence has nothing to do with Mantha. Mantha is top 6 forward and he needs to play. Having Vanek and Helm actually takes his spot. Only way to have him in the lineup is trading away (preferebaly) Nyquist + (XO, Pulks and picks) for some true defensive help not named Fowler.

Unfortunately Helm will be playing top 6 (Blash is copying Babs is very each aspect less Babs skills).

Expecting more like: Larkin-Zetterberg-Abdelkader Tatar-Nielsen-Helm Nyquist-She-Vanek Miller-LG-Ott No way that Helm will be playing on the 4th line at his salary and he was asking to play bigger role before re-signing. AA and Mantha can be sent down without roster implications, it sucks to send then down but there is a logjam at F position which was created by KH by re-signing Helm and adding Vanek (best thing is one year contract). In my ideal world, our lineup would be: Tatar-Larkin-Abby Mantha-Nielsen-AA Z-She-Nyquist Miller-LG-Bert

We have no assets to trade for top defensemen so please stop dreaming...
