I see Ericsson as top 3 (at least) def in NHL. Question is - do you really want one of your TOP def in penalty box for 5 minutes, risk of injuries... No! That's one of the reason why 4TH LINE exist.

Great move by Holland!!! Eaves is better option than Williams. Z - D - H Flip - Franzen - Cleary Eaves - Helm - Leino FA (Betts/Grier/Bell) - Draper - Maltby/Abdelkader Lids - Rafalski Kronwall - Stuart Ericsson - Leba/Lilja (not sure he's going to play ever) Meech/Kindl/Delmore/Janik Invite Bell and McLaren to summer camp. If McLaren is in game shape (than trade Lebda/Meech) and play McLaren with Ericsson.

With all respect that I have for you dear SouthernWingsFan and I really have, Williams isn't what Detroit really need. Add some real grit (I'm more than sorry to see Lilja out - I don't think he's going to be back) someone who can really take care of this team. Let'S not forget that Detroit TRADED Williams with reason... Calder was UPGRADE over Williams...
