Wings will re-sign Leino to a 2-year deal

Who said that we need Moen for points? We need TOUGNESS and PK - Moen brings both... Hockey is not only about getting points... -
Travis Moen is better option!!!!
-
They will be looking for some draft picks... but he will be GREAT player...
-
Different situation, Fedorov was drafted by Wings and gave up TWICE on them...
-
It's not pathetic it's STUPID...

would Hossa stayed if we would have won the cup?
Dominator2005 replied to WingNutt's topic in General
At least in Chicago he doesn't need to fight - there will be some players like Eager to "protect" their stars... and in Detroit we have well... NOBODY... -
Kenny should save our cap space until the trade deadline

Secondary targets disappearing fast Posted by George James Malik July 01, 2009 18:35PM If the Red Wings hoped to sign a complimentary forward or two to bolster their third or fourth lines, those players are disappearing fast, and have garnered high salaries: TSN's signing tracker provides a summary: Ian Laperriere signed with the Philadelphia Flyers for 3 years at $1.17 million per season; Mike Knuble signed with the Washington Capitals for 2 years at $2.8 million per season; Samuel Pahlsson signed with the Columbus Blue Jackets for 3 years at $2.65 million per season; Mike Komisarek signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs for five years at $4.5 million per season; And the rumors regarding Chris Neil suggest that four teams are offering $2 million-plus for his services. I'd imagine that Chat LaRose would command a similar amount, if not $2.5-3 million. http://blog.mlive.com/snapshots/2009/07/se...sappearing.html

Chris Neil is contemplating three solid offers and will make his decision shortly. The New York Rangers offered a four year deal to Neil, averaging $2.3 million per season, while the Edmonton Oilers and Toronto Maple Leafs have both tabled three year offers to the Toronto native. Sources say while the Rangers have made the most substantial bid, the veteran forward is weighing the appeal of staying in Canada which is making his decision more difficult. Earlier in the week, Neil reportedly turned down the Senators' offer of $1.7-million per year. Neil, 30, tied a career-low with ten points and set a career-low with a minus-13 in 60 games last season. The 6-foot-1, 214-pound right winger can still mix it up, however, getting in 14 fights last season; his highest total since 2002-2003. http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=283465

Who asked for BIG PLAYERS?! We are hoping to get a little bit TOUGHER, BIGGER and to IMPROVE our PK units...
-
I agree with you 100% Thanks on 40 goals - it was nice to have you around. Thanks for the sacrifice you took last season...

Lappy for $1.1M isn't crazy at all...
-
Godard back to Calgary...
-
Rupp to Pens - I can't believe the Wings let another guy go...

Moen and Bell...
-
4th line is ENERGY LINE - there is no energy at all when you look at Maltby/Draper...
-
That's it... With Lappy you get decent PK and TOUGHNESS 3 years for $3.5M is cheap! Why can't we have at least one guy like Lappy?! Every year same story : Holland wants to get tougher, bigger and he's doind F***ING NOTHING...

Holland "Not Optimistic" about re-signing Hossa
Dominator2005 replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
1. I would let Hudler go and pick up draft picks. 2. Go after Moen - if we can get him at $1.25M (not sure about it) - who can play on 3rd line with Helm, bring GRIT and PK or BLAIR BETTS 3. Sign Leino $950,000 seems fair 4. Trade Lebda or Meech and sign cheap 4th liner = Orr $650.00 Pavel Datsyuk $6,700,000 - Henrik Zetterberg $6,083,333 - Tomas Holmstrom $2,250,000 Johan Franzen $3,954,545 - Valtteri Filppula $3,000,000 - Daniel Cleary $2,800,000 Darren Helm $599,444 - Travis Moen $1,250,000 - Leino $950,000 Kris Draper $1,583,333 - Kirk Maltby $883,333 - Colton Orr $650,000 Nicklas Lidstrom $7,450,000 - Brian Rafalaski $6,000,000 Brad Stuart $3,750,000 - Niklas Kronwall $3,000,000 Andreas Lilja $1,250,000 - Jonathan Ericsson $900,000 Derek Meech $483,333 Chris Osgood $1,416,666 Jimmy Howard $716,666 UPGRADE PK + TOUGHNESS - SKILLS (SCORING) = TOTAL 55,670,653 -
Holland "Not Optimistic" about re-signing Hossa
Dominator2005 replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
I dont't think we are going to get Lappy and Orr - it will be one of them... Would like to find a way to ship Maltby out of town... Hudler - well I think Holland will let him sign with another team - pick draft picks and let him go... -
True - only reason why I would rather keep Meech instead of Lebda is his versatility "playing" forward when needed...
