I don't know what's more shocking, that this trade went down or that EKLUND of all people said it was going to happen!!? Here are my takes on this: 1. The price they paid was way more than I would have liked the Wings to pay. Imagine Flip, Huddles, a first and third rounder. NOT cool, especially for a rental player no matter how good. 2. Foresberg is back on a fierce rival of the Wings. Somehow that makes me feel that all is right in the hockey world again.

If this does happen things will get VERY interesting. But like Shanman said, Guerin is what I'm pulling for anyways. We need a powerful RW more than a center right now.

Other than the last minute of the 2nd all I've seen is uninspired hockey by the Wings. What's the deal? they didn't play last night, the flu already made its way through the team.. This is supposedly a big game.

LOL, I just break down laughing everytime I see this thread surface onto the front page again. Way to suck last night Lang. First star? DATS is lazy and he sucks! I really wish I hadn't bought that RSL jersey of his, no matter how cool it looks.

I was hoping this thread was still active today. Lang is lazy (scored two 3rd period goals last night, incl the winner) and he sucks (plays his best hockey when the stakes are the highest). Wow I wish everyone was lazy and sucked.

Lang has been doing a good job mentoring the young Czechs on this team (Hudler and Kopecky). Veteran leadership from a 3rd liner, that's always a bonus.

Lame attempt. My uncle lives in Tampa and it's nothing of the sort (a hockey city). Everyone loves a winner, those fans would desert that team like rats off a sinking ship at the first sign of failure. Then they'd go to the beach and not care.

I saw that Thorton has until monday to sign his qualifying RFA offer or it expires. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=2130580 Is this true for all RFA's? Does this mean that we only have until monday to get deals done with Dats and Zetterberg? What happens then, they turn UFA? I'm very nervious all the sudden. Anyone who's read the new CBA please help with this confusion!

I guess the ideal situation for all our top prospect goalies is that they are the #1 and log alot of high intensity ice time and develop. If we've got one over here already it makes sense to keep Liv over there. There's hundreds of leagues though, I don't see why they can't just move him to another.
