Our organizational depth at goalie is really pathetic. I wouldn't mind claiming him and then taking the chance of sending him down through waivers to GR later in the season when people start coming back from injury. At least we could keep him down there or maybe better just loan him to another AHL team for this season. We'd still have him in our system, but he wouldn't be taking starts away from McCollum and Larsson.

Wings 5 - BJ's 4 (SO) We get goals from each of our 4 lines and Dats has the SO winner. So now for my real comment. With all these injuries we STILL are not using Meech? Guys, if you won't put him in, just get rid of him for heavens sake. All these call ups are going in ahead of him. Yes, I know the young guys need more ice time and Meech won't be improving much anyways so he can ride the press box pine. But still, this is a little much.

It seems like we're in a wierd point in time for the NHL. You could argue Luongo should be top 10, but with Brodeur not as dominant as before and the next group coming up not quite established yet we've got a vaccuum of top flight goalies right now. On the flip side we're seeing some of the best forwards the game as seen in a while IMO.

GETZLAF Hard not to vote Kovie, but seeing Getz during the Wings series was enough for me. He was damn near unstoppable. Tough draw getting them in the 2nd round.

I'm almost hoping Crosby gets #3 so we can stop talking about him. But, my vote is still Pav (gave it above already). I'd put Malkin and Getzlaf ahead of Crosby anyways.....

Don't forget, everybody..... These are even strength lines. J-Willy and Homer will probably both be seeing time on the PP, so they'd still be getting good quality minutes even if either of them were on the 4th line. In fact, Williams would probably prefer playing the point on the PP and getting limited minutes during even strength, less checking! Seriously though, if Babcock tells you you're on the 4th line are you going to say anything? I've had tough coaches before, but nobody even close to Babs' calibre.

It's gotta be Maltby. Abbie in the AHL and then come up and rock the house in the playoffs again. Yes, this will work out very well. My biggest question is now about Oulahen. I really wish we would've just bought out Maltby and let him be the 13th forward.

I'm interested to see how "Tough Guy" does in camp. I want to see more of him

Franzen, IMO. He's been huge (no pun intended) almost every game this post season. Just awesome.

Even though it's 93 degrees today, I think it's time to dig out the ole Pavel Datsyuk RSL jersey. The T-shirt just didn't get it done last game.

I like this line the best. I can just image the ass they'd be kicking out there. Put them up against the Fairy line, they'd destroy them. I think we've been using our top guys against their top guys too much. They at least need an occasional break. Sprinkle in a dose of these three, it'll throw the Ducks off their game. keep them guessing.

That movie is the only thing that gets me through life in my job sometimes. Awesome!
