I'm complaining about a coach who doesn't know what he's doing behind the bench.
-
Why the f*** was Miller doing a skate by behind the net.
-
Zets is playing fine. He's just a glorified flip - not a goal scorer.
-
Moron should have called a TO 2 minutes into the period. What a dumbass.
-
In case anyone hasn't noticed, Calgary is playing pretty good hockey right now having beat the preds and sharks in their last 2. This is by no means over, and, Vancouver is next. There is just way too much dead weight on this team at the forward position.
-
Cleary is more useless
-
You know what? f*** all this he said, she said s*** and micro video analysis and f*** all this suspension s***. Let's look at root causes. Until this leagues decides to police itself like it did in the day, then its a clown-fest. Mickey knows what I'm talking about.

I'd rather see Osgood face Edmonton. Canucks will light him up.
-
Yeah except one of these fine young millionaires likes to f*** with Cabbies trying to eek out a living. I'll pass on Citizen Kane.

A few points about Homer. First, he and Lidstrom have clicked for years on the PP. It will be a sad day when those two hang 'em up. Secondly, though he has limited mobility, he is still one of the smartest players out there. He always gets the puck deep when he should, doesn't turn it over a ton and has pretty decent stick-handling skills and works well with Dats. He's pretty good with the puck, he just doesn't skate so well. Finally, he finishes his checks. Bert are you paying attention?
-
Cleary is a solid player, doesn't really excel at any aspect of the game. If he was Bert's size, than he would be a demon in the corners, but he doesn't really have the shot, speed, playmaking or defense to stand out. He does have heart, and that can make a difference like in game 7 Anaheim last year. During the regular season he goes for extended periods colder than hell. Last game he got around 17 minutes while Helm got 10. Give Helm those extra 7 minutes and I suspect you would see something come of that.

In the cap era it is a shame. It would be nice to hold onto players past their usefulness for all the sentimentalists on LGW.
-
If you are Babcock you know you'll get a responsible performance out of Clears. Bert is a f'ing crapshoot, but I contend that Helm should be taking some of either or both guys ice time.

He does have heart, and that can make a difference like in game 7 Anaheim last year. Homer, on the other hand, is a maestro in front of the net, but beyond that, I think he is one of the smartest players out there. He rarely makes stupid plays ala Bert and always seems to know when to get the puck deep. Yes, his skating is a huge liability, but he can dangle a bit and is big enough to battle in the corners. Plus no one, I mean no one plays better with Nick on the point shot. I will be a sad panda when the Lidstrom/Holmstrom connection retires.

The guys played hard, but I gotta wonder why someone like Helm gets a fraction of the ice that Cleary or Bert gets. Dan Cleary seems tired this year. How old is he again? Cleary gets 17 minutes while Helm gets 10? For some reason Babcock think Cleary is a top 6 forward. Give Helm those minutes and watch s*** happen.
-
There are a few Homer haters on this site that I hope are choking on their bile right now. The guy has 20 goals and has missed significant games. Yeah, he can't skate, but who cares.
-
I usually watch the games recorded, so I miss how much of a ****** Keating is. How is this guy employed again?
-
Iginla is a classless piece of s***. That impression was cemented in the 08 run. But he's Canadien and kind of black so he gets a free pass.
-
Its hard to imagine Osgood getting much playing time from here on out, but he won't be released. He'll chart face-offs for 1.4 mil a year and get the occasional game.
-
How could you not like this team? They played with passion, energy and brilliant goaltending. The youth movement worked for them and it was great to see. I hope this does spark hockey in the US, but I doubt it.

Whose blown defense was it that gave Crosby the gold winning goal? You guessed it non other than.

Three of Four Officials for USA/Canada Game From Canada

Given olympic history of controversy and the sorry state of NHL officaiting, I'm not sure how this OP can be construed as whine, but maybe, just maybe a legit concern? As an NHL fan I've watched the s*** that passes as refing in the NHL by mostly canadien refs. -

Thats all cool. I'm happy for Canada and the US as far as medal performances go. Here's an interesting link to put a little historical context around this. Note how the eastern bloc pretty much kicked ass in the post war period. http://www.databaseolympics.com/ -

Your argument comes down to the fact that silver or bronze medalists are losers? What kind of tool are you? What sport are you in that doesn't involve a paper cup and a porno mag? Did you get the gold? -
