I watched the game late and haven't read all the posts, but it is unfortunate that once again a key defensive miscue cost us. Maybe that's just hockey, but it seems to befall us more than others.

If the NHL can possibly do the wrong thing it will. Penalties, disallowed goals, rules - you name it.

Different organs are telling me conflicting things about this game.

If we'll not play better, we'll be out of the playoffs!

That's a cool site. Check Calgary's graph....It's awesome. -
I really think the blown game with LA will be the game that spelled the end of the season. There are too many teams fighting harder than we are because they aren't burned out, don't hate the coach and give a s***.

What makes Ovie the best offensive player in the game is his passion and hunger with his mad skills.

This thread would be a lot more interesting if you picked based on staying under a 58M cap.

I think your Osgood blinders skew your numbers.

The evidence appears to be there. I for one would vote for either a major player shake-up or coaching shake-up. Take your pick. -
Shiny happy people drinking out of the glass half full cup. Rock on, my friends, rock on.

Yes, rebound control and puck handling are a WIP. But to blame our crap defense on pucks he plays instead of freezes is patently ridiculous. Wrong on both counts. Howard has won games (LA) that we had no business winning and kept us in games we had no business being in. Really, you think that Jimmie Howard rebound control is worth 15 extra shots a game? That's hilarious. You need to take of you Oz for president t-shirt.

I'll say this about Osgood - If he was seeing 40+ shots a night he and the Wings would be the laughing stock of the NHL.

2/11 - Against San Jose - Biggest Game of the Year to Date
clutchngrab replied to a topic in General
Lately they are getting out-played of a regular basis such that its hard to say they deserve better. They are absolutely horrible in their own end and can't handle a forecheck to save their lives. Wings have always had issues in their own zone, but never ever this bad. It's pathetic to the point of being hard to watch. -
Wish we could have had Kasparitis and Markov paired together. That would have been the equivalent of the Russian mafia on ice.

Does Holland have the courage to tank this team?
clutchngrab replied to Drake_Marcus's topic in General
Burning the house down is not an option for Holland. He has too many long term and NTCs he will have an impossible time getting out from under. Personally, I think Zetterberg blows this year. I would trade him now while his perceived value is high. In a year or two it will be very difficult to unload his contract. -
Huh, so that's what its like to play with emotion. I kind of forgot...

No, that's Brett "I broke our leading goal-scorer's foot in practice with my awesome slapper" Lebda. Slapshot ACTIVATE!
-
Rafalski to a contender? Possibly if he waives his no trade. That would be tough, but might be the only way to get a top 6 guy without trading Flip who is probably untouchable.

People have been complaining about McCrimmon for 2 years. This is nothing new.

Game 7 forever tarnished him in my eyes.

I'd like to apologize from my country to yours. But seriously, the problem with Cherry is that he allows Canadian fans to be stereotyped in his image. That's a shame, but nonetheless I find myself hoping anyone will beat Canada in any international tournament - probably because of the Cherry factor. That, plus I believe North American kids are coached like crap compared to the Euros.

Erriccson just needs some time. We saw how well he played in the playoffs last year, so much like Quincey, he will ultimately shine. Actually, he reminds me of Fischer in his early years, who could be pretty brutal, but improved nicely each year.
-
lol. He even looks like a young Stevie Y.

Yeah, It was all downhill once Chelli was out of the Kumbaya circle. He had that perfect tenor.

Maybe the theme from Chariots of Fire.
