I knew we were in trouble when I saw Cleary getting in the top 6 yet again and then Abby as well. Jeez - take a flyer on Tatar for one of those top 6 spots or even Eaves or Miller. How many examples of s***ty hockey does Babcock need from Cleary? -
The most notable thing on this video is how much faster Cleary could skate back then.

It's not his mindset, but his physical skills which have deteriorated - and no - I don't by the "getting in shape" argument. Franzen, maybe yes. Cleary is just plain done.

Yep, we once hated a guy by the name of Chris Chelios and then he became a Red Wing. But besides that, if the situation was reversed I would not defend a Red Wing player for a WWE move like that. -

Ericsson has take a lot of s*** on this board, but when you think about it he is the only d-man with size that can match up with the power forward reality of the NHL these days. He has progressed nicely with puck decisions and physicality this year. Yes, he has been a project, but I think Holland might have been correct on this one and I notice a big diff since he has been back w/ Lids.

I get it. Criticism is considered traitorous.... You do realize that healthy dissent has always formed a huge role in the progression of any society/organization/government. There is a reason why certain groups suppress it. Are you a nazi?

There are certain important indicators, though. Where is the PP and PK ranked? How well can you play on the road vs. at home? Goal differential, etc. Yes the playoffs are different, because the NHL treats the game differently from an officiating point of view, but beyond that you are left hoping the underachievers are sand-bagging for the playoffs. Never a good feeling IMO
