I think you are correct in the 3 you post, however I think alot still has to be determined by contract negotiations and goalie play between now and the deadline.
-
you forgot sucked. Though I still think HeroesOfHockeyTowns avatar is still one of my all time favorites.... Actually, I think the spirit of suckiness is being channeled thru Kopy's cut pants. I never thought of it that way, but perhaps Bobby is a role model of sorts for Kopy. Actually, I loved "What Me back-check" Lang. Seriously, I did.... I know, I know.

good point - no shopping - haven't you heard? The economy is horrid.

Shopping perhaps? I didn't say that.

I like the concept of 3 great lines, but I'm old school. Your best players get the best minutes and that should be lines 1 and 2 followed by 3, then 4. Obviously ZDH is one, though you could shuffle cleary or Franzen in for the H when tempo is needed. As a matter of fact, there is a strong argument for pairing Hossa with the other 2 as we wind down the stretch. After all, who didn't cream their jeans when Hossa got signed fantasizing about a ZD Hossa line come crunch time. Anyhow, Hossa and Franzen with a playmaker is line 2. I think that playmaker is Hudler over flip, because a 2nd line with 3 guys that will shoot makes life difficult. Plus Hudler just seems to be a puck magnet and gets to the right spot to score. With Franzen's net front and Hossa's dominance, I think that line could content for 1st line. So then what, I think Flip, Leino, Cleary and Helm have to play, followed by Draper and then meh Kopy, Maltby. Anyhow, no matter how you slice it, enjoy this year because wings won't see riches like this at forward for who knows how long

BTW, tonight I think we can safely say our goalie outplayed the other teams goalie.
-
I like Jiri with Franzen and Hossa. Flip is a good player, but just seems more like 3rd line to me than 2nd. Hudler is not as versatile as Flip, but his weaknesses can be covered by the D of Hossa and Franzen. It almost pains me to say that, because I was a huge Flip advocate early on. I remember posting that I thought he could be the next Z, but unfortunately, he's decided not to develop his shot. For that, on this team, he deserves 3rd line.

Can we do Perry for Flip? Didn't think so.
-
That was truly Osgood-esque

That was an awesome shot!

I won't argue with you that Leino should be playing, but I would put Helm ahead of the whole other 4th line right now. I'm not that impressed with Meech either - he's basically a Lebda clone without the experience which is why I wanted to keep Qincey.
-
Meech is.. whatever. But how can you not like the energy that Helm has brought since he is been here. Its really obvious how he has helped push the tempo for the team.
-
Meech and Chelios is just not a good pairing. However Helm is the straw that stirs the drink, the churn that makes the butter, the ... I ran out of sayings

I think he's -3 right now, which ain't so hot for him.

Does anyone else think Pronger's lost a step or two? He's still a *****, but doesn't seem as dominant anymore.

Nothing makes me happier than a penalty by Chris *****

Sammie give away

I'm not liking the forwards defensive committment so far tonight. There might be a few goals scored.

so far its hard to blame the ice

Dats - can't wait to see that one slow-mo

Right, so what happens if Howard plays out of his skull over the next while? Imagine the forum wars if that happens if you though it was bad now. The idea makes me giggle.

let the hair pulling and mud wrestling begin. I always like when a whiny ***** calls another a whiny *****. good humor... keep it up.

Gasp! your not suggesting the ultimate "better place" are you?

I don't know...roughly 25 games left and a 10 day hiatus. That's cutting it close. Management had to do something though. I commend the move.

I would have done the same thing.
