Flubda is making Lilja look like a Norris trophy candidate
-
Hossa is hitting full stride. Damn - we haven't had a powerforward that can skate and dangle like this since ... ?
-
I always say that any cup winning team has to have the right mix of younger hungry guys and experpienced veterans. Plus the skill the skill to score and defend of course. Right now the wings have got to get a better mix.
-
I pay for this site and am *very* satisfied.
-
Helm/Abdekader (sp.)/Draper Kopie and Malts are useless
-
Looks like the old Ozzie - small and no rebound control. Right now I feel that Conklin is the hotter goalie. I'm not saying Ozzie sucks, but he is pretty cold right now.
-
Not much to say here... Clean hit, unfortunately the kid was leaning forward in a vulnerable position. No intent - just physics.
-
NHL officiating is inconsistent? ... No - That can't be possible!
-
Babcock has never like Hudler and has already demoted him to the 3rd line and brought Sammie up. Its a no-brainer about who will be gone.
-
Leafs played well, swarmed the puck and what not. Ozzies give away in the first was a major brain fart and cost the game. Apparently the wings have to do more than show up. I still would take Leino and Helm over Maltby and Sammie any day.
-
Thats too bad. Leino belongs in the NHL based on his skill level. Helm belongs based on his speed.

goalie w/ *** mask.... did I mention I hate goalies?
-
The only problem with Flip to date has been his ruluctance to shoot. He works as hard on both ends of the ice as anybody and is a pretty good playmaking center. I think Holland is correct in his anticipation of his upside. If we assume he is centering the 2nd line with the likes of Hossa and an emerging mule, I would not be surprised to see 50 - 60 pts. This guys all around game is well past Hudlers.
-
I guess we'll see what a summer of conditioning will do, but he looked completely cooked in the couple playoff games he was in. Fortunately Babcock recognized "One of these things does not belong with the other"
-
Nashville to Regina - Just because some half-assed American sportscaster will make the obvious slip.
-
Yup, he's noticably performing at an AHL level when everyone else is at NHL+. I cringe and hope his shifts are short.
-
well its rested vs. tested. Tested wins first 1 on road and it goes to seven. Turco outplays Ozzie and stars advance. boo hoo.
-
fyi - It looks like this is a NHL Network game - so forget Center Ice for this one.
-
OK, most of you sammy haters are the same as the old jwilly haters. Cmon confess. I'll be the first. But I am downright nostalgic over jwilly when compared to the swedish piece of skit

I think this pretty much sums up the grind line: grind line
-
Aye. Franzen is a much better skater and defensive player than Homer. But I still want Homer playing.
-
I don't think Vancouver is the team to do it, but someone will beat the wings before the conf finals. I just think there are too many passengers on the bus that don't contribute much - epecially at forward. Our top players are fine, but we all know cups are won when everyone contributes. On the flip side, I don't see many other teams in a better position, so perhaps it will be goaltending that gets a team into the SC finals this year.
-
Bulls***, secondary scoring has been sporadic all year except for Cleary. It's just that primary scoring was so awesome no one bitched. On the plus side at least we are going to be a little tougher on the blueline, but I really don't think D is the issue.

wings forwards sucks ass. Dats and Hank are gassed because Babs runs them into the ground. Sorry, Drake, Draper, Flip, Huds, Sammy, Maltby are not a cup winning team. This is not an aberation. This has been a one line team for most of the season. Sorry. No cup this year. Either fish or cut bait as they say.
-
whoo hoo! Another has been to keep Drake, Maltby and Draper company. Cool, we can all party like its 1999.
