It's too bad, this could have been an epic series if the refs let them play. But it is what it is. I don't see the wings coming back because the Sharks are too big, fast and deep to lose 4 in a row. Blowing a 3 - 1 lead going into the 3rd by going into a shell and taking stupid penalties all series is not the recipe for success. Sure a lot of the calls have been one-sided, but for every bad call there has been a bonehead penalty to match. Also, when push comes to shove, our defense and Howard are just not good enough to go deep into the playoffs.

It's my fault. I pulled the hairs coming out of my nose and ears. Normally I don't do that during the playoffs.

I may watch sporadically on hockey streams as well - though I am pretty cheesed about the state of NHL officiating, so I may just bow out completely.

NHL playoff officiating has always been...arbitrary to be nice about it. However, since the rules change combined with the loss of many of the more experienced refs, we have seen a degradation of officiating every year and it keeps getting worse. I'm not sure how long I can watch this game. It's nothing like hockey I watched growing up and the game is certainly not better for it.

I can't believe this officiating. The worse I've ever seen. I'm done with the NHL after this season. They will never get another cent of my money.

Babs gotta keep rolling 4 lines. If they lose so be it. Its a war not a battle. Sharks will break down.

If the wings can consistently reach the level of game 7 against the Yotes for extended periods, then there is no way they lose round 2 against the sharks. 4-2 Wings tonight.

Semin looked like Thorton out there. Plus, I think the refs jobbed the Caps a bit. Montreal got away with a ton of obstruction in that game.

Spoken like true cheap f*** like myself. Apparently the rest of LGW has money to burn. What Flip brings is playoff huge - regardless of his goals. The guy is all over the ice.

I've been critical of Franzen this series, but in retrospect, we have not had this much health in the playoffs after round 1 in a while. Dats, Z, Flip are playing great. If we can get Mule activated and our 3rd and 4th lines playing like tonight we are fine on the offensive side and neutral zone with the puck. I'm not sold on the D side yet. That's been our downfall in the past, so hopefully Jimmie will can elevate and carry the defense thru what will be some trying times.

Well we have watched teams like this knock of the wings in the past: LA, Edmonton, Calgary... But kudos to the boys for matching and surpassing the grit. Thats the thing - if you match the grit then only then will talent win out. We did it tonight! Yup - still waiting for the Mule who is currently playing as his other genetic donkey half.

I wonder if these clowns are actually required to watch tape of the games they call. Probably not. Got forbid they should actually improve.
