Michael Russo, Star-Trib on Twitter re: Parise/Suter going to Minnesota: "trust me. It's up to Suter. He's waiting on Suter to decide and that'll determine if Zach comes here or elsewhere" Russo also stated that they have continued talking to one another. Zach reemphasized he would love to play with Suter. Sounds like there might still be a chance they both come to Detroit as package deal? -
Still no decision from Suter. Speculation abounds.

Saw this today on ESPN*: Wings may swap for Kaberle. If Lidstrom retires... Is there any truth to this rumor or what are the possible scenarios that you see could unfold? How do you feel about Kaberle? Personally I'd love to see him in the winged-wheel if it was for the right price. *Most likely a baseless claim with no merit. Edit: RUMOR not RUMER! I've been awake for far too long...

Wow, what can I say? I drove in Friday afternoon from Minnesota (attending the Big Chill on Saturday). Friday's game was my first time attending a game at The Joe. I took in all that there was to see. Met Ted Lindsay. And saw a wonderful hard fought game between two Original 6 teams that had everything; great goals, great saves, big hits, and scuffles. Glad the Wings were able to come out on top! It was a night that I will never forget! GO WINGS!

I remember starting a thread like this awhile back and everyone jumped all over me for it. I guess people have strong opinions, think they are always right, know what is best for the team, and stuck in their ways. People have a wide-ranging definition of what a 'true fan' is. Some say fans are supposed to criticize the team constantly, while others say they should support the team in every instance. I say it's somewhere in the middle there.

Honestly I have no problem with it. Mostly because I'm a Timberwolves and Pistons fan and know that they aren't going to be there anyways, which makes me follow other teams more closely. But it is always the best of the best in the NBA Finals. I could watch Kobe and Garnett every day and be happy... Also, for the most part at least, teams aren't winning consecutive titles. So there's still some variety... And it appears there's always a different trend every decade or so.

What team are you going to pull for now that the Wings have been eliminated and why? I'd like to see the Hawks represent the Central and win it all. I'm also a huge Hossa fan and would love to see him get a ring. I actually liked the Sharks before this series, but after seeing their antics I can't pull for them anymore. I wouldn't mind seeing Boston somehow take it all either...
