I believe it was the beginning of this season that Sports Illustrated (Adam Muir, I believe) deemed Burke the best general manager in the NHL. I love seeing the Ducks implode.

I'd say Kopecky is starting to earn another contract at right around league minimum.... which he wasn't playing up to for the majority of the season. It's good to see him playing better, and hopefully he will help the Wings roll 4 lines in the playoffs. His hitting sucks, but at least the effort is there.

Wings have still been doing well despite Osgood's worst season and lots of ho-hum efforts on any give night. If I was an analyst, I would point out that the goaltending for Detroit probably couldn't get any worse, but if it only got a little better, the Wings are clearly the team to beat.

Such a streaky player! Hopefully the timing works out that he goes on a tear right at the playoffs.

I am very happy -- I was pissed last year when Holland saved millions in salary for the deadline -- he ended up getting Stuart and failed at getting Hossa or another forward (asking prices are just too high). I wanted to see him spend that money at the beginning of the season, and not lose all the draft picks and prospects at the deadline -- plus the players have a longer time to mesh. He did exactly that! I certainly can not complain!

Wings beat the Flames twice this year (5-2 and a 4-3 OT win) and have them twice this month -- should be interesting games to catch.

Holland did his work at the beginning of the year and lost no prospects or picks as a result. Bravo, I say.

Very good. I much prefer Hossa and Stuart at the beginning of the season vs. picking them up at the trade deadline and losing prospects and picks. Well done, Holland.

Calgary was best when they had Tanguay - a true playmaker. They now have three goalscorers on their first line.
