I have to disagree here Drake. I like the Original 6 teams and if the Wings can't win it.. I always hope for a 6 team to win.. I guess I just like the history of the trophy going to a team with history. Just my opinion tho.

I know this guy has credit and Merit.. But I question his remarks a little here.... From Spector.... blog on Fox Sports...HERE Why would he suggest that Meech would be re-signed and Lilja not? Am I the only one who sees this as weird? I know he says "It's Believed" But I would like to think that Lilja is more a value to the team then Meech. Just my opinion...

I can't wrap my head around why you would NOT want Lidstrom on our team... Yes he's 40.... But alot better than ANY teams 3 and 4 D men... Which If we make a splash and get a good d man and re up with Lids..he would probably not play 25 a night and take a 2nd line role. He can still help this team win every night.

well we have 7 forwards and 5 d-men under contract for next year ( and 2 goalies) Who ever we keep and go get...better be decent we have around 13 mill I think.

In This little video I have put together, I would like to point out you are in fact WRONG!!!! Notice 3 key areas... 1) The Face-off "attempt" by Thornton vs. Zetterberg... Never puts his stick on the ice 1st (which the visiting team has to do) and Hits Zetterberg in the upper leg...(I slowed it down so you could see it better... Face-offs are on the ICE not the Upper Leg. 2) Instead of going after the puck he skates away (with his back to the play) to go after our Captain Nick Lidstrom, keeping him on the boards and even giving him a shot with his stick... But the fact is HE went After Nick and targeted him..... 3) the obvious attack on Holmstrom.... Looks like Homer was really ready for the hit AFTER the whistle.... 2nd point on your post.... ANY TEAM would of done that!!!... No sir Not us.... If you read the boards here enough you will see that the biggest complaint is that we don't goon up enough... Our guys wont be made into avatars saying "Your ******* Dead" Good Day!
