It could also mean that players who have been skating for their life for many weeks after alot of players got injured see this opportunity (guys coming back from injuries) to lose up just a little bit (not skate, forecheck, backcheck, hit, shoot enough etc etc).. and that little bit can prove to be devastating..remember the team played brutal even when cleary and zetterberg were healthy, hell even when kronwall was, the problem has been there all season. YOU?!?!?! Nooooooo!!!

Noone can take away what he has done for sure... lately he has had the hot hand. But what would you expect from a team missing as much as we are.. guys like Eaves are getting more time here cause they are given the time to play and get into a groove and scoring, contributing. This post is not to bash Bertuzzi.. But to ask the question..... If Given enough time to play, who else can/will step up? Given enough time to play shouldn't they step up? We are doing what we can do with what we have. Bertuzzi would not, NOT be putting these numbers up if all the players were still healthy because he would not be getting the ice time, or playing with the players he is..... my main point is .... Look at this from a point of how much ice time they are getting... Not how much they make.

I just think given the injuries we have and the players we have now... That this discussion can even take place...is AWESOME!!!! who would think that we have Franzen, Williams, Flip, Kronwall, out on injuries... that we are worried about who we lose?? Ha Ha Ha way too cool IMO.

WOW The stat gathering has really taken a dive here..... WELL LETS SEE HERE...... In 2002-03 season when Bertuzzi scored his 46 goals... Ohlund played 59 games and had 29 pts.... hardly a offensive force and Andrew Cassels was not even on the team.... so please check your stats again.... the year Cassels had those stats was the year before when Bert netted 36 goals...... And Apparently Im not the only one who.. "Mis-interpreted" your post.... Good Day!

on #2 But on that team... who else had 30 or even 20. We have had 5 players score 20+ goals each of our last 3-4 years...... thats called depth.. the year Bert scored 46 was a great year for him on a team that had no scoring depth.... he was in the right spot at the right time and did the right things..... that does not make him the best Red Wing on the current roster.... on #3 What a player did in the past....who cares what he DID... I'm more inclined to go with what he is doing.... and to talk about a guy not scoring while he has a broken wrist is just pathetic. as well as a broken leg and separated shoulders..... lets see Bert score more than Zett this year then you have a debate. My Point is dont pick 3 guys that are injured to compare his stats to..that's wrong.. Lets see Bert play more than 40 games this season..... since you want to talk about what he HAS done... while he's on a roll people will love him.. when he goes back to Clangtuzzi ( which I hope does not happen ) he WILL be bagged on again.
