I hope this isnt considered "Off-Topic". But.. I have to ask. Under the current CBA, Is there a "Luxury Tax" or "Cap Penalty" for going over the cap? I searched a few places but could get a definite answer..... It appears that the Rangers are over the cap and have a Cap Penalty of 700,000. Just confused about why they have a Cap Penalty imposed when your not supposed to be over....

Id Like to see it happen. Conklin is a proven back up and Howard hasnt really shown much at the NHL level... I know I know Im gonna get jumped for this because he's only played a few games in the NHL, But he has also had plenty of opportunity to show case himself and "stake his claim" sort-a-speak. I'm less comfortable with Howard involved in this goalie tandem than I am with the current guys.

It's unfortunate he passed away and the Rangers lost out IMO. I don't think they should get a new one just because it broke..bad analogy I know....but there is no extended service plan on human life.....

Panic about one loss? No..But I am angry in the way it was lost...... Im all for chalking it up to bad days, guys tired?(whatever the case may be) But when you have a lead like that it just should not of happened....

If a couple guys wanna throw down and duke it out like men....so be it. I think there are just as many fights in the NBA as there are in the NHL , And what I mean by that is this, Not fight for fight.....But the rise of fights inthe NBA and MLB are not getting as much attention as the fights in the NHL... Fighting was always apart of Hockey. Baseball - A pitcher plunks a batter, the next inning, Payback. the benches get warned and the game goes on.. Yeah right.....Now the the Bullpens clear and there more punches thrown than pitches that game.... Basketball - a hard foul and the guys go into bazerrk-O mode I am not defending fighting in the NHL - But If two guys want to go a round with eachother...Have at it I think it's unfair to target just the NHL... is my point
