we were sloppy for taking a penalty in the offensive zone...BUT NO MENTION of the Hossa penalty on the PP? WTF!?!?!?!?

I have a friend who is a Referee with USA Hockey - He told me that there is a rule proposal to mandate that all Refs wear visors next year. also stated that (he has friends in high places) that NHL refs are close to mandating and players may be required to as well in the future. just to add to the conversation and what I "Heard" nothing but hearsay at this point but from (what he claims) high and credible sources. take it for what it is worth.

Poorly written rule I think.... Reading that does that mean that this should be TOP 10 "Charges" for the week of 1-18-2011?? Just sayin' the line to be drawn is in the eye of the official. Some of those were way worse than the hit on Letang too...

I understand your point much better as well. My only point was if you (chuklz) likes the sport (NHL) and believe it can be resolved with a few minor decisions, would you not want to be apart of the solution? I just don't want to see Advertising on the jerseys... Please no!!!!!!!!

I am not threatening to pull my funding out... And how the hell do you know I dont contribute to Red Wings charities? I dont have my name on arenas... or I did not go public with a statement to " take my puck and go home" I donate lots of time to USA hockey - that I do not expect to or asked to get paid for. You know my screen name, dont act like you know me! I also use tools that I have at my disposal to help the city I live in.. please. Dont assume you know me... I am not asking Air Canada to sponsor the NHL like Sprint does with Nascar and take over the sport.... Just asking them to add a helpful piece of input before you decide to do a drastic action like they have threatened to do. If you are going to hold your money over their heads... maybe try and assist in the resolving of the issue you have. thats all I am saying.

THIS... I agree instead of making statements threatening to pull sponsorship, maybe they should help look into solutions for the problem and if satisfactory "Fixes" - (relative term I guess) can't be agreed upon...then bail.. If I am a investor/sponsor of something as big as the NHL... I would try and help make it better when issues like this come up. does it not seem like Air Canada gives a s*** about the sport? they have some of the best engineers working for them..... help the NHL out and make it a brand worth investing in.

I watched that game LIVE as it happend, and it stuck with me. I was 13 yrs old and almost watched a guy die. I understand you were not making light of it..
