My belief is there never is justification for a lockout or running out of time with negotiations. How long have they known about the CBA expiration? Oh, yeah, since the last one was signed. Waiting to the last minute is ridiculous.

Honestly, do you really think Suter and Parise are going to put Minn over the top? I am a hockey fan from way back (Mid 70's), and have to admit that i never even heard of Parise until the Stanley Cup (little embarassed about it, lol. People at work come to me for Hockey questions.). I was not aware he was a highly rated forward, until all the talking heads said he was.

Russo was saying during that radio interview if Suter signed with MN, then Parise would follow. (to MN). Even though that goes against what we have been hearing until now.

Russo's been saying this all night, heard him on the radio earlier tonight, sure they are not just repeating each others posts? (I say this because they are both based out of Minnesota, so, is any of this homerism?) Who knows? From everything I've read, I am wondering if the reason the Wings showed up today is because they had a verbal commitment and heard Suter changed his mind, hence the increase in the offer. Just stuff i've read and heard, just conjecture. Ah, well, will these 2 players really change the culture in Minnesota?
