I am being funny. They are both horrible, but I totally hate Nashville more, at least you can ignore the fans in the Philly game. I had the volume way down yesterday and all i could hear was. TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT Man If I were there I would have gotten kicked out for stealing whistles and breaking them.
-
I don't know, I haven't heard any whistles... I think Nashville is still worse. Philly in general is a drunken fan hotbed. They booed Santa!!

Anyone have a Justin.tv link for the Dallas game??

Will Downey get any playing time during the playoffs?
Majsheppard replied to Greatness=PavelDatsyuk's topic in General
Different question, Abs needs to play 10 PO games or two Finals games to get his name on the Cup if we theoretically win correct? I think this also applies to Helm and Hartigan as I don't think they played enough games to get names etched. Am I wrong on this? -
It could have been done better considering he then had the advantage of knowing where Marty wanted to look, but man he has no chance of deflecting that nor any chance of protecting himself from an arrant shot. Was really funny, but I think I'm going to try it. When I play with people with really good aim of course

Franzen, definately, scoring all those goals. It was a vindication for me and my scouting ability. I claimed Zetterberg and Kronwall as being good before they were, but people said those were too easy of calls. Franzen wasn't obvious, I said he was a top-six forward and all those GWGs were exciting and very comforting. Two best feelings in the world are watching the Wings winning and being right about something. That is a double dose of happy.

This thread is way premature. When Dallas has four wins, we can all gloat and throw a parade and analyze the hell out of it. Anyone with hockey sense knew that Bertuzzi, Weight, and Schneider does not make an improvement over Penner and McDonald. I hate Burke, he is way overated and such a jerk, I cannot wait to see them bumped in round one.

Kay Bro-heim. But don't refer to Bettman as Classy, he is a rat. Classy and a fan, and being loud are not mutually exclusive. Rowdy, sure that somethign to want to emulate. I suppose you would like an anouncer who yells ON DA POWER-PLAY!!! as well? That seems to be rowdy, get all the expansion team fans to chant like mindless drones. You most likely also think that any fight is a good fight, even if the player does it without honor, without sticking to the code. I personally like when the guy beats the crap out of the other person without being a total dick. Bottom line, it makes you look like a hockey idiot to chant you suck to a goaltender that is keeping a team in the serries just because he allowed a goal. And if you think that it unnerves the goaltender and actually has an effect on his play, then you might agree that it could embolden the player and he could turn his game around and shut the team down. I know the people who are like this, as a season ticket holder I had four seats in front of mine they sold together on a game to game basis. Every game it is the same type of four people. They show up very late in the first period. They act beligerent and chant stupid things paying no attention to the game. They leave early in the first to get more booze, and they come back for maybe the middle part of the second and leave. Meanwhile real hockey fans, the same faces in the same seats during every game sit and watch the damn game. That is hockey, people intrested in showing up to see the game. They cheer and celebrate, and when the team needs a kick in the pants they chant let's go red wings. When there is a bad call they get on the refs. When there is someone who has earned their ire with constant poor sportsmenship they let them have it. They don't act foolish, they don't live to listen to whatever song they play or gimmick given between the whistles, they don't stand up and block peoples views to get their face on TV, they don't talk on cell phones, they don't upset other fans around them, and they don't give up on their team. They show up every game and they live hockey and pay alot of money to watch the best sport in the world and pay no mind to chicken dances or what have you. They erupt in anger at a bad call screaming from 24 rows back "THAT'S A HORRIBLE CALL". They say WAKE UP after a bad start, they really get into the LGW's chant when the team needs it. Otherwise they sit around in relative comfort taking in a grand experience. You know like these folks have since the fifties when some of them started coming. You want to tell me these fans are bad fans, you want to tell me they are wrong and you are right. Whatever, I have been to JLA in every situation you can imagine. When they couldn't get anyone to come and gave away a car every game in hopes to draw a crowd. I have been there for Cup clinching goals. I have been there on the 30th central division game of the year, and I have been there for the last two games. I tell you what, our fans are plenty loud and plenty into it when they need to be. The constant I see are those who are truely loyal. The way they act is the way fans acted for Howe to Yzerman. You want to change that, I suggest you just go become a fan of any team that has a mascot or cheerleaders. I know what hockey is, it is class. This isn't college, this isn't a rodeo, this is hockey. Chuck Norris is a bad actor, not hockey...

Finally someone feels exactly the same way I do. That may be the first time ever lol. Agree, it feels like something fans from a non-orginal six team would do. I like class, I like hockey. I don't like drunkin frat boy crap.

huh skacore, my former best friend used that handle...

I must say the article makes me think that Holland possibly may be out of the mix because we are in the playoffs... I hope he can convince the kid to wait. Really the Canucks will be there at anypoint. You should wait a little longer boy.
-
Not a surprise. Kids are always selfish, he wants ice time instead of a challange. Would rather be a star rather then a supporting cast member. If he does in fact sign he will prob be very good with the Sedins and the team will still only have one scoring line.

What a great first round!

I don't think I can deal with 1990's and later born players... Honestly it makes me feel fricken old.
-
That is for sure. Only time I am for anything vulgar or so agressively stupid, is when you do it to those who are as such. I mean getting on Patrick Roy, Tootoo, Pronger etc, is okay in my book. You should respect your opponent, I enjoy celebration chants.

I wish he would have pounded his face in today.

Le goal Le habitants! Le goal! Hamrilk se manufique!

Oh priorites are set in stone and they are justly so. I am a person who has quit jobs to watch hockey. I moved to Seattle and decided I missed hockey too much and moved back. The best five days of the year are: The first day of the playoff, The trade deadline, The first day of the regular season, Thanksgiving, and any triple header saturday that involves the Wings.

You know all the stuff that doesn't matter... Like work, relationships-both with women and friends, facial hair hygine, intrest in objects not made of black rubber, work, play and other such things. Hockey consumes all, and its okay because happiness is the only byproduct. It's green!

Wow, what a suntan for Drapes...

Anyone know how to take pictures and make a slideshow of sorts? I kinda want to make an animation for an avatar and more importantly figure out how to make a youtube about the Wings.

The only downside to this hockey heaven is all other aspects of life are suffering atrophy.
-
He is great on camera too!! I mean except that he hasn't backed Detroit in the series.... Other then that funny and intellegent. Favourite qoute by him, "They are pounding on the bathroom door, you got to go back out!!" lol, saying he missed the OT game winner in Minnesota because it was 57 seconds in and he was at the head.

The problem exists in every league. I mean at least nationally broadcasted games, they always have to play kiss ass to the stars and try to illustrate they know the game well by telling everyone what everybody should have done.
-
I am not going to crown any line better then any other until the big ones go against each other. However they obviously play every aspect of hockey to a very good level.
