Serriously though, I think he has alot going for him but asking him to adjust to the NHL in the Stanley Cup playoffs, in Detroit no less, is asking for alot. Quincey did a pretty good job of it last year, but wasn't enough to replace Schneider. Hopefull the fact that he might only have to replace Kopecky or just be another body will help him surpass Quincey's outting last year.

Anyone can beat anyone, I am more worried about Tootoo purposely injuring someone essential to our run like Pavel. Just another team that has a history of playing us harder then anyone else and playing even dirtier then that. If they do take out someone, I want to hear no complaining from you folks who were rooting for them to be our opponent.

That meech, Zetter, and Rafalski ones are well done.... Yet what is the point? It kinda seems like something you would do to deface the Wings, not suppor them. I know you don't mean harm, but I could just see people lifing that and putting them on other teams threads...

Just another rule appendix. Amatuers are allowed to sign up until the last business day of the season supposedly to allow youth a chance to get experience. With the way the roster restrictions goes away, it is just a way to allow both the NHL and AHL more depth throughout the playoffs. Vets need not apply.

That just isn't fair. The guy was working hard, maybe harder then anyone on the team, and this is his reward? I am not going to put positive spin on this nor signal it as some dark omen, but I think he will be missed, and here is hoping he can successfully rehab from this. I knew the moment I saw it that his career could be at risk and while I don't think that is the case now it is going to set him back maybe a year. Oh well now Abedelkader or Meech needs to step up. The footage shows Kopecky's leg gets trapped as the Blue Jacket slides into him going left to right making his body weight fall sideways on his knee. When the leg cannot move out straight as this occurs the ligiments are strained often to the point of tearing. The way he limped not from putting weight on it, but trying to push off on the leg suggests that latteral movement or flexing of the knee was causing great pain. This can range from a pulled or strained hamstring to strains or tears in the ACL or MCL , but in this case more likely the latter knee injury range. Most common amongst Offensive linemen in the NFL.

My apologies I should have said. This is the opinon of a sports medicine doctor who looked at the injury and the limp off and told me the standard protocol. I just got off the phone with him, because when I saw it I was worried and called him. This is a professional opinion only.

Kopecky will most likely have an MRI as soon as the swelling goes down. We will know if its bad most likely by Saturday.

Uhh, and add Kopecky to the list. That looked IMO to be a ACL type injury which is bad.... It is a good year to have this absurd-kinda depth. Even now, he points out he missed a block shot but thinks he did well. I like it. good win, but Kopecky looks like he tore an ACL or something... Dom prob just ruined my chances at a fantasy hockey title for two teams. I picked up Osgood to play tomarrow, and now he prob won't play tomarrow because Hasek got yanked. I cannot believe its the Red Wings ruining my fantasy hockey chances...

CBC bias is fine by me, especally considering in the first round all of the games will likely be on FSN so you won't even have to deal with that. Anyone who wants to face nashville is misguided. They have one line of offense, don't play as physical, and we have a history of beating Vancouver. Plus their injuries are hurting them way more then Nashvilles are. Nashville's goaltending has been playing better then Luongo of late anyways.
