I am hoping for Osgood/Howard myself. The split style in which Howard gets at least 30+ games under his belt.

It does not at all depend on how much Schneider will ask, unless he takes minimum ala Cheli he is gone. Event then who knows, as the broken wrist raises questions. I am going to say Schenider will be a Ranger next year. Quincey has punched himself a ticket to the front of the line to get into the lineup, but that doesn't mean the other prospects can't leap in front of him. I would think that they are in no rush to bring any of the youngsters along when you think who we have in the fold and for how long. If Markov comes back, or even if we go get a top D-man in FA we are pretty deep on the Blue line and these playoffs have shown it.

Good old Don always says you never change a winning playoff lineup. btw Hudler didn't have the game Sam had. I am sure they are going to shuffle both in and out of the lineup. What a nice problem to have.

It has already been said on the forums how Bert was suppost to play, and then how he wasn't in game one. I understand he will not, but I read on Freep.com that Zetterberg is ready to go for Thursday. Only moments ago on CNN (of all places) on the bottom line they reported both Hank and Todd will miss game one against Calgary. First off I want to know who is right and who is wrong. Will 40 play tomarrow or not? Secondly, why is that bottom line material on CNN? I mean they always say some stupid s*** on the bottom while talking about deaths in Iraq, but this really interested me. Is that positive or negitive to have it on the air, even if its under reports of Iranian and Syrian involvement in attacks on US ground troops in Iraq? I will admit its much better then talking about Anna Nicoles Baby daddy, whatever that means. To recap, Zetter yes or no? CNN bad or good?

I think this kid is Drapes replacement, I really do. He was signed only to come in and play in camp and then go back down to juniors or GR at best. I wouldn't be surprised if he is a Griffin sooner then later. This move doesn't do anything but lock him in to a cheaper cost if and when the salary cap goes up. Good move by Holland.

These are just predictions basied on the strength of the opponents and the away and home records, but as you can see even with Nashville winning the next game against us we would win the division by one point. I am going to hope we get stronger and this plays out in a postive way, I just don't want any banners to be raised to the rafters in Nashville. Ever.

Alright, one more point to gain on Nashville. Chicago downed them in the shootout. God I hate the shootout.

The Wings just need to gain one more point to put Nashville away, and unless Chicago breaks the tie very soon they won't get it tonight.... I would like to point out, 5 more goals are needed for 250 on the year, and if we don't let in 6 in the last two games we will be sub 200 goals allowed. Very good year, especally considering all the doom and gloom from the folks on these boards preseason.

In sales of merchandise apparently they are. I don't like it but it is true. This illustrates that the people of Detroit are very much fair weather fans and jump from bandwagon to bandwagon. I know most everyone here will agree that Hockey is superior to Baseball and these fans are idiots. I wish that everyone could just watch what they like and there not be any problems, but this may be a sign that the Wings will get pushed to the backseat again and their broadcasts will become hidden, and their rinks empty. I fear that things will get worse for the Wings, they need to win another championship. Why does Detroit only care about one team at a time?

Yeah I think Scott has this one wrapped up.... That streak of 3 -3 games or more back a few weeks ago and the scoring slump has really done him in.

That is my opinion, but I don't suggest you ignore the Tigers. I just wonder where all these "Tigers fans" were the past 12 years. Anyone who thinks that we care about all the teams has a weird definition of care. Obviously the true Detroit fan wants all the teams to win their respective Championships. Though they don't follow the team until they are on the verge of winning it all. I consider that bandwagon fans and I think it a disgrace. Futhermore when three teams have a shot at winning, and you get excited for one 8 months before they award the thing, give subpar attention to the other as they wrap the season up, and pay lip service to the third as they enter the playoffs, then something is wrong.

Oh that is for sure. We are not looking so hot injury wise though. Our forwards are getting healthy, but our defense is getting beat up. I don't know if we have the depth now that Kronner is out. One more Dman out and we might be sunk. Three games left and 6 points we could use.

Well the Wings really want to lose this top spot. Blowing the 3-0 lead against Dallas means they have to win out now. What a disapointing game, oh well at least there are no shootouts in the Playoffs. If Dallas screws us over tomarrow, I think we lost the fight to keep them from getting any satisfaction in Nashville.

I was watching the game with my friend. I say to him I hate how these jerks chant the name and then yell you suck to the goaltender after one goal. I said chant his name without the you suck when he lets in like four goals or whatever, not one. He agreed with me when I said if you do that with only one goal you might egg him on to not letting in another. I really didn't expect him to prove my point that night but I am sure glad. Fans without class.

I couldn't agree more with every point, except one. 30-35k new arena? I really dont ever want to see that, because it will ruin it for everyone. When you make arenas that big your worst seats are horrible. The furthest back seat at the Joe are still good seats and cost 22 bucks a seat. A bigger stadium will not make seats cheaper, in fact most new stadiums increase their seat costs even with more seats available. I tell you what 35k seat stadium that last row would be twice as far away and cost twice as much. JLA forever folks. The mother is half empty every game anyways...

I am not happy we lost to St Louis and Columbus. So I revised the picks and I have gaining two more wins then them, and being two back this would bring us to a tie in wins, and the division. Bottom line is with a game in hand and a tie with the tie brakers going to them as of now, we simply have to win one more game then they do, and add another win or OTL for every two OTL they get. Sigh I hate three points, it muddles everything up. I put it on the stars, if they manage to beat us and lose to Nashville we are more or less done. If it goes the other way Nashville is more or less done. I just want the season to be done.
