I'd maybe agree if it wasn't for the fact we are in the race for 1st overall and we are missing alot of top guys for several weeks. I could see one at a time or two for a week max, but not 4 guys for 3 weeks each. That is not something that is done for rest. I might think the Chelios one was a rest job. Never the less it is good for the team to get some extra ice for the unsung wings and some adversity to overcome.

I just am so mad that two games ago, they blew the play dead early when Khabibulin didn't even grab the puck. Yet the last two games Ozzie had the puck covered in some way for the same amount of time and two goals are scored. I am sore that we can get screwed three times in three games by the refs being inconistant with that whistle.

What an epic game on tonight, and a chance to see Smyth on the Isle. Finally OLN pays off to have with a good match with a good story behind it. I really am looking foward to this one, anyone got any predictions? 4-3 OT is my call, why. Arbitrary and it would make for a good game.

This is a humerous and interesting side story to the trade. I tell you what, I think both of them going through hard times then being traded is better for them. Now they both get to move on having hopefully hit rock bottom. Up for both of them, is the only way to go.

I hate to be the bad guy, but man people pay alot of money for those seats. You are suppost to be sitting while game is on, and I can understand people getting upset. That being said, jumping up in excitement isn't a problem as long as you sit down quickly after. The rule about shootouts and stuff is the basic rule, stand only if people in front of you are standing. Finally, those jerks who stand up to waive at the camera with their cell phones, well they deserve to be excuted in the least humane way possible. No one cares about you being on TV, I think people would rather see the action of the Game. See that is why I owned seats right in front of the press box. I could stand all I wanted!! Plus TV right over my head.

uhh a few things wrong here. 1. Detroit is the number one drawing away team in the league. If the teams in the East like money, they will want more games against the Wings. Trust me, ever single team in the East will vote with Detroit. 2. Motions do need a 2/3rds vote, but in the case of Pittsburgh moving physically to the west the case becomes one in which it is not a motion. It is a necessary thing, it will be decided on a majority basis. Even if it is not, then Columbus wouldn't get the 2/3rds because, like I said before and everyone should agree, people want the money Detroit brings. 3. The league does not want to make an enemy of the Illich family. If they step in the way of their seniority, it will mean war. The NHL is not on very firm ground for a power struggle. 4.hmm, Teams like Ottawa, Montreal, and Toronto where seats are already full? You mean nothing like teams like Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, or Colorado. You know West teams where the seats are already sold. Just like how Phoenix can charge extra for games against Detroit, so can teams like Tampa and Florida.

I don't care what was said in any posts or in previous talks at the meetings. The Wings have desire to move east and alot of pull. If the West with the exception of the Wings wants them to stay, and all of the East wants the Wings to move east, that means 16-14 Wings win and go East. Actually what I would like to see happen, is the comish lose all authority on all aspects of the game. You can let him still negotiate and do all those legal and asskissing duties Bettmen is known for. Just don't let him have any say on how the game should be played. Instead they should make the compettition committee in charge of the on ice product. That committee should consist of a retired player (Hull), the head ref, and an active player voted on by the NHLPA who should be Shanahan for the time being. We all know how much that helped the game during the lockout. Why not have this three person committee be the judge of proposed changes brought up by the NHLPA or the owners? I think that would be alot better then Bettman making snap calls and then getting the owners to push it through. We have to do this before they suceed and increase the size of the nets!!
