The thing that doesn't make sense to me is that if they went to the court and said. If the kid moves to Michigan, her mother will remain married to a guy pulling in millions of dollars a year. This is in the benefit of the kid. I would imagine that would make an easy case to win. If I was Stuart, I would also just offer to buy a house for the real father to live in rent free in Michigan. Unless the other guy makes 7 figures.

We might have a really bad losing streak following a big feel good streak. The injuries are piling up rapidly, and losing your best two players surely doesn't help.

D Commodore dealt to Lightning for cond. 7th round pick
Majsheppard replied to Tim.D's topic in General
IF nothing else, the Wings organization has a ton of class in how they deal with their players. This wasn't something that needed to happen. -
I DISCOUNT YOUR POINT WHILE ACTUALLY MISSING YOUR POINT ALL TOGETHER!!!! OH YEAH WELL YOUR POINT IS WRONG BECAUSE I AM GOING TO BLOW A SMALL COMMENT OUT OF PROPORTION AND RUN WITH THAT INSTEAD OF CONSIDERING YOUR VIEW POINT!!! OH YEAH?! WELL I CAN STRAW MAN FALLACY TOO! YOUR MOTHER WOULD LIKE MY POINT!!! This thread has been closed due to emotions being higher than people's ability to read, interpret, and properly respond to simple posts.

Well... this seems to be the theme of the day. Yawn.

This is exactly what I was saying, yet apparently it is North Korea over here. Suggesting that Ken Holland didn't lift a car over his head and save a dying baby isn't exactly saying that he is a failure or anything. This day is just frustrating because we WANT to take a great team and get better. It feels like we just are the same and every time we might change the team there is some anxiety. We just normally have some excitement drown out the anxiety. Look at it this way, when we traded for Hasek... there was anxiety, because you are giving up something to swing for the fences. It could have ended really poorly, but there was excitement in the city that could be felt. The anxiety was drown out by the excitement. When you set aside a day, spend all your time watching, reading, listening to trade rumors and talks... then you see the smoke settle and nothing happens... you still have anxiety, you just don't have any excitement because you didn't perceive the team as better. bottom line: No one will get excited for having the same thing they had yesterday. I always hate when people complain about non-moves. I don't feel like most people are complaining, they just feel worried that we are missing something. A top-six guy wasn't to be had... we might regret not overpaying, and we might have regretted overpaying. Take it as it comes, and just deal with the anxiety as best as you can until the Wings are playing again and it begins to fade. Oh well, it isn't the worst until some fools start accusing you of being foolish for not agreeing with them

1. Sharks, Nashville,Canucks, Blackhawks, Nashville, Canucks and Nashville. You know, the rivals. They added people. We added Quincey and not today, your taking-everything-literally s*** is pissing me off. Hmmm, I seem to recall some players were moved for combinations of 2nd's 3rd's and 4's. Phallson was moved for two forths. So shut up if you can't take what I wrote and don't have a real response. He would have helped us win faceoffs. Sure we didn't have the first to get Gaustad, nor would I have been happy giving a first for him. I wasn't happy giving a first for Quincey. You should get more for a first. I was simply stating that this wasn't a good year for us to sit on the sidelines. I would have gladly given every pick in our draft this year for a difference maker on the second line. It wasn't there, that doesn't mean anyone has the right to say that someone else can't be upset. Seriously, you seem to get far too much joy wagging your finger at other people saying you are stupid. Cody Hodgson got moved today. I am not saying we needed to make a move like that, I am just saying that this was our need. If Holland made an effort to investigate trades, then I am happy. THAT WAS THE POINT OF MY POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holland said it himself. He targeted 4 guys, and other teams got them. I don't really think any of those four were drastic overpayment but Gaustad. Since you don't ever understand the point of my posts, you should prob just stop reading them. There is an ignore poster function. You should look into it if you can't deal with a reasonable and calm criticism of the deadline. It isn't much like I am yelling ZOMG HOLLAND SHOULD BE TEH FIRED!!!!! The point was this would have been the year to go for it. I don't care that we didn't because we have great prospects. Yet, if they lose to the Sharks again... this could be it for our window of winning. EDIT: I would have even felt better if we got Rolston. At least he once had a one-timer. He could have been had for free a while ago.

I really want the deadline moved back to mid-march.

I will say this for sure, I am just relieved we didn't move any of our great prospects.

I am not going to say not making a move will cost us the playoffs. I do think the fact everyone else gets players and we sit doesn't look good. Two reasons for this; the Wings had two really great drafts in a row, and that means if there was a time to trade a bunch of picks it would be now. Secondly, the Wings demoted Franzen today and we could have used a player to fix the second line. The Sharks have beat us twice by neutralizing the first line and letting second line get beat badly by their top-six depth. Our third line now has to worry about playing better than our top two lines in order to drive us further. I don't like the feel of that. One last thing... if Lidstrom and Homer retires and we lose Stuart then we just blew the last shot at winning a cup in this era. It would be like when Yzerman left... we would have to rebuild and hope we can win again after 4 years or so....

Hearing out of Colorado that Avs won't move Jones... The Wings seem to have missed out on the period where costs came down a bit, and now they prob are getting higher as time runs out and players dwindle. -

Two fourths... We should be able to get Stafford then for a decent price. David Jones would most likely have happened if it was going to... I don't know what is going to happen, but you think something will. -

Unless they get Challahan that would be wrong. Holland on TSN, can't be making a trade at that point. -

Are we going to add another D now? Or move for the forward depth? What are we getting from Yzerman? Or are we just adding him to the last trade lol. -

Rumors point to #Detroit talking to #Colorado for Jones. Emmerton and a pick? #NHLDeadline The Nashville deal set the cost at a 2nd and a late pick... Wings would have to move a player, so maybe Mursak or Emmerton. I would prefer Emmerton, but then we are lacking at center... -
