The SuperSkills competition is an embarrassment
Majsheppard replied to wingsdiehard13's topic in General
I only 2 of the events. -
Columbus is the Paris of Ohio. Did I say Paris, I said meant to say hell of Ohio. And Ohio is the hell of America.

I saw this on TSN and thought, holy s***... this guy might be the best option to pick up at the deadline. He does add much that we need. I think we need to get whoever we get without giving up ANY of our forward prospects from overseas. I am okay giving up any of our North American forwards.. (they aren't that good) I would even be okay giving up one of our recent defensemen prospects. I feel we have so much in the pipeline that I wouldn't want to give up much for the future. I am also okay with Selanne.

Four players on the block that might be of some interest from the same team... Who would you take if Holland asked you which one he should trade for??? Tim Gleason Joni Pitkanen Tuomo Ruutu Jussi Jokinen Discuss.
-
Only reason I could think of is if they need to stay over the floor yet want to be under the floor at FA period to make big signings... The first part fits their bill, but not the second. I doubt they will want any UFA's.

The Board has made a decision and the details will be reported soon... Standby for the end of days... The stupid as hell four division alignment has been passed. Thus ends the greatest playoff system ever and begins the era of divisional playoffs... I think they finally killed the best game ever.
-
Yes, two round of divisional playoffs then reseeding. I.E. you are going to see a ton of Dallas, Chicago, Nashville, and Detroit playing each other in the first round. I hate this concept. I think I am going to burn down your house and give you this new house made out of cheese. Don't knock it until you've tried it. #POORLOGIC Mark my words there will be teams missing out of the playoffs with 10 more points than some of the teams making the playoffs in the 7 team divisions.

I have never hated the NHL more than right now...
-
The details are as of right now that four divisions are in place... The alignment is really going to just be small tweeks to what we already know.
-
Fabin is the last man standing. Supposedly it is from Ken Holland in person... Maybe it is premature as TSN hasn't weighed in... per Darren Dreger $600,000 (NHL) over $105,000 (AHL) for Brunnstrom on 1 year deal with Red Wings. Sidenote, Johnson has been let go.

Got like plus three for running a draft thread that took my entire evening and get a negative 12 for a post to try and keep other threads clean. I am sick of anonymous internet hate.
-
So go ahead delete it whatever. I don't care, I don't much care for online hate.
-
Alright I am done, there is no reason for a negative 12 for simply making a placeholder for the conversation we always have. It was done so every other thread doesn't turn into it.
-
I figured we should just have a thread for this because it comes up in every other thread at least once. A strong start for Hudler, and Mursak a few weeks away... How much does he have to do to make him a valuable trading commodity? EDIT: Alright I am done, there is no reason for a negative 12 for simply making a placeholder for the conversation we always have. It was done so every other thread doesn't turn into it. The likelihood that Shane Doan gets traded at the deadline seems to be increasing, and it looks like the Wings are going to look to add someone. Does it make sense for it to be Doan? He is older, and has made some ill will with the Wings in the last couple of years, but he is hungry and hard to play against. It is an interesting topic for discussion, and maybe even a rumor going forward. Would he fit? Would he be a long term or short term piece? Would he be cheaper if resigned than a bigger name? Would he be easy or cheap to get in trade? I will answer one of those questions in suggesting that his age puts him as a prime candidate to be a second line player that could be phased out over the next couple of years. Even maybe a third liner if you wanted to put Cleary up instead. His grit intrigues me, and would be a great teammate. What do you think?

Team looked great today.

Commodore allows Wings to burn some of the Smith Suspension. Holland now will allow at least one game to be burned off of the Suspension in a game Smith would not have played in anyways. I was hoping the Wings would do that.

That Chicago deal was more of them going overboard with marketing. That year they also put Chicago as the cover team, they put a song in the game (which was awful) about Chicago being the best team, fans, and franchise of all time. It made me sick. I got so sick of hearing about how real hockey is played in Chicago... Did they predict Hossa not getting the Misconduct and them winning against the Preds? Considering I can win every single year... I bet he would do just fine.
-
It just seems like everything happens the opposite of what I just said... I will never win 30 million dollars.
-
Is it just me or are they not calling interference.... Oh and Kindl didn't get a call for that... I am confused why they blew the play dead, but his day was good. White looks good too.
-
Well Kindl just made his first mistake, as he took away a scoring chance by getting drawn in on a physical rebuttle behind the play.
-
Kindl and Miller have been impressive tonight. Kindl really earned his spot tonight with some veteran like plays. Val looks good. Pav is Pav. Overall the team looks great offensively and not so hot defensively.

Hey edicius, what time is it?
