I don't mean to sound like a dick, but why do you pay for an ESPN account? I never got how they can get away with demanding money for that stuff. Yeah, maybe you could quote it for us? It would be great to get him... I will be happy when I sees it, but until then I won't get my hopes up. I will also defend the ability to hope against all others.

My optimism is not blind. Osgood is the best option to lead the team to the cup if Howard goes down unless there is a trade. I don't see anything that suggest there is such a trade available to us. His groin was fixed. Sports medicine is really good, and it made him ready to practice last year but the team wouldn't chance it. There is no reason to assume that it won't work for him now. Conks wouldn't make me mad, Emery would. A trade would make me mad as well unless it was a really big fleece job on another team. We don't need to spend any assets for a goalie, especially with Osgood and Larsson sitting right there. I would take Osgood, Larsson, Conks in that order. I really just think Larsson is a worth developing,Osgood is worth letting him finish, but if you are going to kick him to the curb it should be for developing an asset. Conklin is not an asset, nor is he proven to be a playoff guy. I don't think he will be a liability, but I just don't think he is the best choice. He is better than any other option via a signing though, and that is better than a trade.

It really depends on how you like to watch the game. Some people can't get behind seats that aren't like the view from home, some prefer to see from behind the net. I say there isn't a bad seat in the place. I have sat in both of those spots and might prefer the cheaper one, cuz I am cheap. The ones behind the net would be my preference for view, but again, some hate looking through that mesh... Up to you. Oh and 206 isn't center ice. depending on the seats, it is more blue line to just above the faceoff circles. Had season tickets in that section for most my life. One more thing, it kinda stinks that they shoot twice on the other end of 206... just a heads up.

Abel to Yzerman is an AWFUL BLOG! Malik isn't a part of that, he is his own entity, and I respect him. Even when I don't see eye to eye. I haven't thought anything he has said was over the top though...

I already decided I wasn't going to get sucked into this... but damn it, Osgood is a better call and I want him back. I am more worried about who would step in during the playoffs per injury then who steps in during the regular season. Joey as number three and Osgood as number two. Good deal, I would be so happy. He can get 10 wins easy and take number 8 overall. It would be great for Howard as well.

I wouldn't give them more than two picks plus Hudler for Semin. First and second plus Hudler would be steep but worth it... Giving two players off the roster would be foolish because it wouldn't make their cap any better and it wouldn't make us clearly better. I would think that the only way it happens if it is Hudler and picks... and the odds of that happening are low...

I think that Varlarmov is not a trade that I would base anything off of... It was one of the worst trade I have ever seen and I don't think it will hurt as much as the Kessel trade, but it isn't far off. Miller and Eaves are quality guys and really are better to have than a Carcillo. Eager would have been nice, but we didn't really have a shot. Semin would be a great addition, but really losing a Filpulla would not be worth it. I only see them adding Semin for a pick and Hudler tops. That is, don't count on it happening.

I would take Semin. However, I would not trade that much for him -- Hudler and a pick or two, tops. They are the ones who are in cap troubles, so we would be helping them out. I love Semin, it is a running joke for me and my cousin and we would flip out if he played here. Really, they don't want him anymore and that is the most important reason we could get him. Holland however just suggested he would rather have a tough and gritty third line pounder for a trade from Hudler.

I will bet everything I have that Emmerton is on the team.

Weber looking for "short-term" contract... You think that there will be a one year deal in his future? I agree that you shouldn't get rid of Hudler for nothing, but you are crazy if you don't think Semin is a huge step up from Hudler. He is a true skilled guy. He gives 100% more effort than Hudler too. You seem to undervalue Semin, because he cannot fight? He is not a tough guy, he is a scorer. He is a guy that can get you 40 goals not a guy who can get you 4 fighting majors.

I want guys like that on the team, and this makes Blashill a good signing in my opinion, that is if they don't decide to make things so different our team falls apart. Peters is well accomplished for his age and level. If nothing else he will have some info on Blackhawks prospects... I wish this is how it went down. I have to say I am incredibly pissed off about them not bringing in Boughner. I think it is a huge mistake not getting a two time Memorial cup winning coach who was a defenseman and has ties to the area. I get the feeling that they might have just hired young guys at the wrong time to do so. Why try to change everything up right now when our team is at a crossroads and has a closing window to win with a legend? I would have rather had established guys that would bring us a better guarantee and added young off the map types one at a time over the next few years. Disappointed over missing a slam dunk, and okay with one of the additions. Without a doubt they are hiring guys designed to develop young players, because there is no way to avoid us getting a lot younger over the next few years...

Normally I would be for such a move, but not so close to the end of Lids career. We need to have established guys to help the youngsters continue on after he retires.
