Agreed. The only problem I see with this line of reasoning, there can be some who refuse to let sleeping dogs lie. He could be a problem if he is in everyone face about religion non-stop. Honestly if we missed out on him and had to go down and sign someone like Andy Greene or Montador. We could take that second pick and trade for someone better. BRYZ WAS TRADED FOR A 3RD!!! That was a while ago, and included the number one goaltender, where there is only two quality UFA's. Liles got traded for a second for crying out loud. Not the rights.

Honestly, I am not giving Holland credit or damning him. It just seems not taking a player in the first round doesn't matter as much right now as we all figure. Really, if any player we could have drafted would contribute to this year I would be blown away. I don't like missing out on trades, but no one said we could get Burns, or that Burns would ever be consistent. I can't say what will happen, but I just don't get all the hate flying around. Not a great day for the Wings by any means, but not a horrible day. Remember, the draft is dependent on how good you have been doing, and we have been doing pretty good. I also want to say that we should wait and see what happens down the road.
