Then I will take Dubinsky

Parise is RFA... It would require a good trade. I would rather get the big UFA. I also like the idea of maybe going after a high draft pick this year. Wonder what it would take to get Larsson in the draft? First this year, next year, Flip, Hudler and a second? Then if you sign Richards you could just play Kindl, Smith, and Larsson to replace Rus, E, and Raf. lol I know... but it is fun to dream. They can have Hudler and McCollum, I don't think we have the luxury to trade any defensive prospects away though... I think a first would have to be included as well... I think that Holland thinks their picks are worth more than players, which this year should not be the case. Go after one last cup for Lids!

The difference is that Vinny isn't a good leader, and doesn't play up to the level he can in many circumstances. Richards to me is not as good as a goal scorer as Vinny, but is better in every other regard. MTL wants him so bad you could basically rip them off. Honestly I think only one player on that roster is untouchable if Vinny is on the table.

Twitter from Adam Proteau waiting on confirmation from another source... Edit: should read to be inducted.

Why does it seem like the solution to all the problems in the sports world is to burn Columbus to the ground... Maybe Tressel would take the job. Columbus is as far east as the rink I play at in metro Detroit, so that is a dumb reason. Nashville is in the Central, so that that also shouldn't matter. If you want the most sense, it is Detroit. I don't get why Winnipeg can't fill the void. Since they are selling tickets that are third most expensive, why can't they compete?> In fact the league tried to make rivals out of nobodies before with the whole more division games concept. Why not let the same reasoning say that without us here, Nashville will fill our role and become Chicago's rival?

Already made another thread with the info on it...

Thehockeynews: ASSETS: Has incredible imagination with the puck and excellent playmaking ability. Likes to shoot the puck often when playing the point on the power play. Is a leader by example. FLAWS: Isn't big or physical, so he can wear down against bigger opposing centers. His defensive game has regressed over time. CAREER POTENTIAL: Intelligent scoring center. Only two seasons with less than 20 goals. Last year netted 28. 220 Career goals, 716 pts in 772 games. He is a sniper, he has a hell of a shot.

Yeah, I said before that he would find his way back thanks to Stevie... Though I don't think they should keep Vinnie. I say they trade Lecavalier to MTL for Cammalari and some other parts of a trade (and really shoot for the moon), as we all know they would trade anything for Vinny. How about this to start.... CAPGEEK.COM CAP CALCULATOR FORWARDS Steve Downie ($1.850m) / Steven Stamkos ($8.000m) / Martin St. Louis ($5.625m) Mike Cammalleri ($6.000m) / Dominic Moore ($1.100m) / Ryan Malone ($4.500m) Dana Tyrell ($0.845m) / / Nate Thompson ($0.900m) DEFENSEMEN Pavel Kubina ($3.850m) / Mattias Ohlund ($3.607m) Victor Hedman ($3.500m) / Brett Clark ($1.500m) Eric Brewer ($4.250m) GOALTENDERS Dwayne Roloson ($2.500m) BUYOUTS: Vaclav Prospal ($1.166m) / Todd Fedoruk ($0.375m) CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled without the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $62,400,000; CAP PAYROLL: $49,569,643; BONUSES: $2,737,500 CAP SPACE (14-man roster): $12,830,357

If we move Hudler we can sign him for as much as he could get elsewhere. CAPGEEK.COM CAP CALCULATOR FORWARDS Pavel Datsyuk ($6.700m) / Henrik Zetterberg ($6.083m) / Johan Franzen ($3.954m) Valtteri Filppula ($3.000m) / Brad Richards ($8.000m) / Daniel Cleary ($2.800m) Jan Mursak ($0.550m) / Kris Draper ($0.850m) / Patrick Eaves ($1.750m) Todd Bertuzzi ($1.937m) / Darren Helm ($0.912m) / Tomas Holmstrom ($1.875m) Justin Abdelkader ($0.787m) DEFENSEMEN Nicklas Lidstrom ($6.200m) / James Wisniewski ($4.250m) Jakub Kindl ($0.883m) / Niklas Kronwall ($3.000m) Brendan Smith ($0.875m) / Brad Stuart ($3.750m) Doug Janik ($0.512m) GOALTENDERS Jimmy Howard ($2.250m) / Chris Osgood ($0.850m) CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled without the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $62,400,000; CAP PAYROLL: $61,771,211; BONUSES: $0 CAP SPACE (22-man roster): $628,789 I would see what that could do, also think we could get him for the seven million range.

He would be worth signing IMO. I don't care if he is the highest paid player on the team he would be worth getting.

Third highest ticket prices in the league... Doesn't make sense for a team that isn't in the playoffs. What happens if they bomb the first couple of years? Will the building be empty and the team removed?
-
Humor, sir. Humor. Besides, payment plan makes it 32k for five years of front row tickets.... Ouch. The team isn't that good.
-
Never going to happen now, they are going to have plenty of money to sign him and Fans that will demand it. Yet, I am not sold that the team will move if they don't sell out these ungodly overpriced tickets. HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT THEY WANT OUT OF 13K WORTH OF PEOPLE?!?!? Oh no worries, I will just cut you a check for five years worth of front row tickets. Can I bring the Thirty thousand dollars to the arena, or should I leave it in front of Gary Bettman's house???

It doesn't matter how well you travel, it beats the hell out of you. I never quite understood it, but it just takes all of your energy out of you and makes you sluggish. There are recent studies that suggest that even sitting for prolonged periods of time makes your body unhealthy.

It seems Meech is gone. I think we used up all his patience.

Interesting possibilities in trading with Philly.

The rumor will not die. I ask again, would it be a good idea to bring in his big contract? -
This says it all. Don't go back on your word.

I do not want Ericsson for 2.25 I think he should take 1.25 and be happy with it.
-
Yep, you should never try to do anything because it won't work out. If the Wings had the same attitude they would have never won anything!
-
Well I spent my free time today tweeting, writing, and organizing. It is a real shame no one seems to want to join and actually speak up to improve the Red Wings chances. Instead you would rather complain that it isn't going to happen. I just don't see how you can't think you can influence things. Bus Boycotts ended segregation! Twitter took out governments! Grassroot campaigns have affected politics! Why do you refuse to think you can get a team to change conferences???

#MoveDetroitEast Wings to east! A facebook page is available to like."Move Detroit East" available here http://on.fb.me/iKt9Pf

I say he still would be more afraid from losing some ticket revenue than bodily harm. The look about him says it all. PLEASE DON'T HURT MY POCKETBOOK!!! Keep joining up and we are still looking for people to put forward some effort to keep this continuing. We have to make the league know the Fans demand this! The Facebook group is Move Detroit East.
-
I noticed only two people tweeted and only 10 people have joined the Facebook site. If you want to actually try and influence what happens you should speak up. If you want to just complain when it doesn't you should just stay here and make excuses and posts.

I don't know how to change that... I know you can paste the link on your wall or on your friends wall.
