Am I the only one who doesn't care for Lacrosse style goals? I just don't see the point, if you want to play lacrosse play lacrosse. The puck is meant to be shot. Oh well, if you like it that is great. I just never want to see the NHL turn into a bunch of people trying to look cool and score goals with tricks rather than skills.

Well in that case I would send them to AHL purgatory!!! JK Although I would love to move Bert, and even Cleary because I think we have people who can do their jobs just as well who are younger.

I would pass on half of the list, but the other half would be fine additions. I stand by the fact that you cannot do this without subtracting people first. My perfect offseason would include losing a couple of players for cap space that youngsters could replace. My choices would be Bertuzzi, Hudler, Ericsson, and Cleary. Why? I just think that losing them would not hurt us with what we still have in the stables. It would also clear about 8 million in cap space, which I would use over two seasons to improve the team. I would definitely try to sign Weber to a one year offer sheet, we wouldn't get him this year but we would get him the next. I would also love to see us be aggressive again. Sign someone who forechecks like a beast. Failing that, go get the best superstar possible. We know we have the ability to grow Role players! If the cap goes up 6 million this year, I figure we could add over the next two seasons two six million dollar players and still keep everyone else, with Lids near the end we could realistically add two seven million dollar players, a three million dollar player and keep everyone else. Or any combination there of. Dreaming perhaps, but even if we couldn't land the big names. Clearing all that money would sure make it easier for us to address needs as they come. Let us not forget how many forwards we have in the pipeline. Defense is an issue that will grow fast over the next few seasons.

We have a deal with the NHL, we have first dibs. It will come down to a vote by the owners. It is well known that every team in the West will vote no, except the Wings. Every team in the East will vote yes. 16-15 the Wings move East. I predict a future where Chicago gets moved East as well. It wouldn't be hard to accomplish if you didn't care about Columbus and Nashville being geographic outliers. Atlanta and the Panthers have to move. I think there are three good American destinations for them. What makes you think a southern road trip, or a Canadian Road trip, wouldn't do that?

I would call up Atlanta asap and make that deal that was supposedly on the table. Hudler and Ericsson for Zach Bogosian. It would be addition by subtraction. Hudler had a HORRIBLE series, and deserves some of the blame for game 7. I don't get why Modano wasn't in, if anyone would have played their asses off to win, it would have been him.

I agree... The thing is, I think the Wings already have depth taken care of quite well. I don't think these would be serious upgrades. I would much rather we burn some of our established depth, and acquire top tier talent. Let our young depth take more of a role and start planning a long term success plan. Honestly, what would we do with Fiddler and Wisniewski, when we would have Kindl, Mursak, Emmerton, and Smith ready to go??? I say it is time for addition by subtraction. If that gives us enough cap space to do something bold, then that would be great too.

I am not, here is why. I love TB, and I would love to see them win. I loved that team before Yzerman took over. I don't want to see them win this series. Perplexed? Officiating. We all know that the calls are going to go in favor of the best money making teams. The remaining money makers are in order: 1.Vancouver 2.Boston 3.San Jose 4.Tampa Bay IF Tampa beats Boston, there is practically no chance that they will be given an even playing field against a Vancouver, and only a slight chance they will against a San Jose. They of course could still beat either team, but these are the teams I want to win in order: 1.Boston 2.Tampa 3.Vancouver 4.SJ I am rooting full out for the East. You cannot go wrong with whoever wins there. Stevie, Rolo, St Louis! Wouldn't that feel good? Except for Vinnie, whom I don't like, it is all happy days. Boston is the same way with the exception of Chara. Plus Timmy, Bergeron, and Savard could get on the cup and God knows they deserve it. I vote Boston because they will have less chances to win it IMO, and if Vancouver makes it from the West, NHL will push hard for them to win, because they will have 30 million fans to buy collectors crap.

I agree with everything you said, but honestly if Bertuzzi didn't take that awful penalty, we win game one. Doesn't that change everything following that game? This is why I believe the refs should reverse what they do in series. They always make practically no calls in game 7, why not do that in game 1? This would ensure that the team who wins, one of the most important games in the series, actually deserves it. I will never understand calling ticky tack stuff in a game one and not making calls in game 7.

I have to say I voted for some of these guys just because I feel like we need a change. I would bet that the only changes that happen are the ones Holland doesn't make. Like Modano calling it a career. Somehow I think we lose Emmerton due to us having too many players from this same team under contract. Man up and make the team more powerful at the top like other teams have been doing. The way the cap keeps going up it hardly is a punishment to give a lifetime contract to a superstar. Wouldn't it be nice to steal a Weber or a Richards and maybe a future player like Bogosian even if at the expense of Bertuzzi, Cleary, Hudler, Ericsson, etc??? The only thing I say must change though is our coaching. If you want to fire McCrimmon only, okay do it. I wouldn't be upset if they did more. If Lids retires, I say we make him the replacement of McCrummy or Babcock, because I honestly think Mike just lets him run the team now anyways.

Considering there is no 4th defensive pairing, I gather your intel is wrong.

This is classic Wings. 17 scoring chances and zero goals. They make goalies look better than they are, outplay the other team and miss their chances. They are going to lose 1-0 with a goal early in the OT. I am sick of this. We could have won 80% of the cups dealt in the last decade, but we always do this.

You have to see it to believe it. I might have waited a while longer to make this...

I will say it again, Pavel and Helm are untouchable, I would entertain all other offers. Not saying I would move everyone, but I would listen to all offers.

Mine is already gone, this series year dynasty is over. Time to build a new one.
