WCSF Game 3 GDT: Sharks 4 at Red Wings 3 (OT)
Majsheppard replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
I have never bee more mad at the Wings then I am now. Anti-clutch. -
I have a feeling this forum is going to be a Tampa Bay forum for the near future. Honestly, I would rather as a player play for Tampa then Detroit, because they are moving in the right direction.
-
My first action would be clear to me. Bye McCrimmon. Hi Atlanta? Yes, I would like to offer you Hudler, Bertuzzi, and Ericson plus our draft pick for Bogo. Kthxbi. Then I would sign Weber to a one year offer, which Nashville would match. Then I would listen to any offer for anyone over the age of 30 whose name isn't Pavel Datsyuk.
-
No, but they play harder.

End thread.

Red Wings terrible playoff OT record since 2000
Majsheppard replied to redwinger4747's topic in General
We have no clutch and heart outside of 1-3 players. -
Fire the entire coaching staff and let Lids take over.
-
Should of played him over Hudler, abs, or Bert.

Blow it up. I could care less if there was only Helm and Pavel returning next year. Everyone was anti-clutch. It seemed like they all took turns stepping up to ruin our chances. Taking horrible penalties, making horrible turnovers, playing suspect defense, letting pucks go by, no rebound control, missing golden chances. The Wings that won last time played the best when it meant the most, these Wings play the worst when they are in control. ANTI CLUTCH! That is the only way you lose to Joe Thorton and Marleau, the kings of this phenomenon. It is my feeling that any change would be a good one now, and I would start by getting rid of every goat in the series. Declare to the world the Red Wings will not stand for that sloppy s***.

What was the point of even signing him if you aren't going to use him when you need to make a change.

WCSF Game 3 GDT: Sharks 4 at Red Wings 3 (OT)

I swear, I am shaving the second I feel we aren't going to win this game. I want to never even get close to losing. If they go up by a goal anytime after the second, I am going to get rid of this damn beard. -
To be honest, the only thing the Wings can do is get worse in the short term. They are going to just have to get worse and let the young players make their way into the system and allow salary space to grow before they go after anyone to make them into true contenders again. It really sucks, because we should be the best team still in it, yet because of our own overconfidence we cant ever capitalize on the few chances we have and teams linger like a bad virus until they get their chances on the power play and then win. This series should be at least 1-1 and instead it is 0-2. If they would just play full out the whole game they could sweep these sharks, but they will never do that. I blame the coaching staff for that, and I blame the coaches for not locking down pavelski, the only deadly threat to Detroit.

I want in on that 100. I don't want them to lose, but the calls, momentum, play, all signify we will lose. It isn't over yet, but if we lose either of the next games it surely is over. I really wish that Chicago won and was playing the Sharks now.
-
Really, because the only time I noticed him was when he got the penalty that cost us the lead late in the game.
-
All I know is I saw no blood on his 4 minute call. I don't understand why no one is pissed off at Bertuzzi then for taking that stupid boarding call that allowed SJ to tie game one?! There is the goat.
-
So what do I get when you are wrong?
-
All of them.

I cannot get a quote to back up what was said on the air today, but the NHL contract could lead to a 6 million dollar cap increase next season... I am all for reinvesting it in our youngsters and just taking care of everyone... I know many people will want more than that. So to keep us busy for the next week, what would you spend the extra money on? Assume that Holland brings back everyone at the same salary, and use the extra money let us say 6 million flat. What would you do? Trade, UFA, or RFA who would you add if you assume no other changes in the salary or roster? To help, here is a list of available players. best I could find. Would the Wings take a run at a Semin through trade? Bogo through RFA? or Kaberle through UFA? You tell me. Have fun. (I don't see much of anyone I really would go after. I have a short list myself.)
-
The Sharks are a better team than last year no doubt. Yet the Kings pushed them around, and the Wings are better still. I have to bet that if Chicago wins tomorrow, the Sharks will lose to them. I don't know what I want.
-
I hear that, the POINT of the thread was to see if there was anyone person to add via a simple realistic move. Like what do you do with your extra money... Oh well...
-
I just am perplexed by Yandle and Vishnovsky being snubbed for Chara. I get Weber and Lids, but not Chara. I have to say now that it should finish Lids Weber Chara in that order. Go get Weber in the offseason Holland, who cares about the compensation.
-
The idea is everything will go up about 6 million, but the revenue directly from the TV sharing would equal about 2 million. Though everything will remain proportional, this is outpacing inflation so more teams might have problems. This bails out Chicago and Philly though. I say we offer Weber a one year contract Nashville can match so we can be sure that he knows we want him next year. That combined with Lidstrom maybe staying around and us beating them hopefully in the playoffs again, then maybe he joins a real organization.

Which team had the LEAST losses on route to winning the cup?
Majsheppard replied to crodley's topic in General
Vancouver might be gunning for the most losses to win the cup! 3 already and they might still have to contend with NSH and Detroit and the NHL really wanting a WSH cup championship!!! I kid. They aren't making it out of the first round. -
Where do you get all of these stats? Like some sort of ESPN employee, you know if they cared about hockey.
