I have a feeling that there won't be any major changes. I don't think we land Parise or Suter now. Maybe we land that Justin Schultz, but I just don't think many big moves are coming because it is going to be hard to keep what we have. I don't think we can make any trades to fix our team in one year that doesn't empty the cupboards. I also think that the office thinks those prospects are up to the task of being the next wave. Perhaps Holland will empty the UFA contracts at the next deadline and bring up all the youngsters. It is a awful mess to try and fix, because you have to get worse to get better.

Fire Babcock. Also, I think we can forget about Suter now. Why would you leave a team that is better shape than the Wings? I would be worried that they manage to get Parise now...

I think we can safely say that we would have done better with Phoenix now...

I have to say this, I hated on Cleary as being worthless with the injury because he was. In the playoffs he has been effective at half strength. I think if he can heal he should be kept around. HOWEVER!!!! However, it is clear that Cleary should have not played at all the last month plus and healed as much as possible. If he was going to hold back until now, it would have been better if he could have mended more.

How much better would we have been if we moved one forward, our first and maybe more to get Brown instead of Quincey. He is a one man team in LA right now... well two. Brown and Quick are killing it.

The fix is in. Detroit can't win this series, Gary has clearly made Nashville the 2012 project.

Cleary and Emmerton shouldn't be playing. Period.

I don't know what you are talking about. A skirt does not restrict breathing, nor does pantyhose. I have seen plenty of girls throw down in all sorts of garments. I find it funny, because suits are harder to fight in, as the shoulder seem makes it impossible to have full range of motion with the arms, which is far more important in a fight. I digress, Milbury is a misogynistic dinosaur, and he should be taking heat for that and not his Crosby comments. Last I checked, he is getting paid for his opinion. What bothers me the most about Crosby... is that I don't think he would have acted like this if he wasn't paired up with Mario when he got drafted. I imagine an alternate reality where he was drafted anywhere that had a true hockey player vet with class to take him under the Wing. I just don't think he takes a dive if he was drafted by a team like Detroit and played under Lidstrom. The difference in personality might have been epic.

I love the Crosby comments, hate the Bylsma comments. I hate that skirt type bull s***. Plenty of people in skirts that could kick Milbury's ass. That gender s*** is so past relevant. Grow up dinosaur. Crosby should get hit, because he is playing hockey.

Yeah... but we would have gotten two players who would play for us in return... this makes the trade even worse. I have determined that I no longer give a flying #%&@ what anyone thinks of what I say. You all have no hockey sense if you think he has played well to this point, think he will be the difference in winning a cup, think that he will make losing Stuart or Lidstrom okay, or think that he is worth the salary and draft pick we will give up, or think that losing Kindl as well doesn't make the trade worse, or thinks that the two college boys we were looking at would have been any worse than using the first pick we traded and signing them for depth. It all boils down to options. Giving up that first for Kyle severely limited our options. If we saw significant short term benefits, then we would be able to justify it. True, we don't know if he will make a difference in the playoffs yet. From what I see, the only logical conclusion is to not bet on it. I really hope I am wrong, but well you can be the judge. I just find your judgement to this point to be flawed if you perceive my "negativity" as anything but realistic appraisal of what has happened to this point.

Who cares if he suspends him? He was going to have at least one more game as a healthy scratch. I am quite mad we wasted a first on him to be honest. It still feels like it means Kindl was a wasted first and there were free agent alternatives this off season including a hot prospect and the best dman in the league after Nick...

I don't know how you can say they are looking better from that game. They played hard for about four minutes of the game, got a lucky bounce to tie it, then settled back and held on for a convincing shootout win. That won't do you any good in the playoffs. Yet, if I suggest we fall to six to take on the same type of team... it is a bad idea and there are a bunch of naysayers.

About one out of every ten of those outlet passes are picked off though by a forward.

Everyone should agree with this. I will say this... they should still make the playoffs for winning the division. I don't think this has ever happened... but in theory it could. If the weakest division had the top team not make the playoffs on pts, but make it on winning the division... I wouldn't mind. Just have them seeded 8.

It is okay, it isn't like his job is on the line. He won't be fired for this. Which is pretty s***ty IMO. I am not a fan of Babcock at all.

We didn't need Quincey for this year, or next year. The bigger need was fixing the second line and the power play. I guess you are okay with getting Quincey and his pinching in all the time and not helping us win. We shall see if he helps at all in the playoffs. I'd rather have the pick right now and take a flyer on Schultz this year, and a flyer on Danny the next year. Then we have a bunch of guys behind that... Even without those two... Smith could fill in for Stuart and we would have the same 7 deep defense. It doesn't make sense. Quincey was a bad trade. Go ahead and roll your eyes.

Bob McKenzie seems to think he is the third best free agent. He is a Hobby Baker finalist. Even if they didn't sign him. Let's say they bring back everyone but Stuart, and they relplace him with Suter... We have too many defensemen. The point was WHY TRADE A NUMBER 1 FOR QUINCEY? I don't think he is worth it. It just doesn't seem right.
