I really have been waiting for Emmerton to play. I though the Wings should have sent Tatar back down and put Corey up for a few anyways. This has nothing to do with Tatar's play but with the fact that we are running out of time with Emmerton and I want to get a feel for what he can do now. Honestly number one with a bullet of guys that could get traded for something at the deadline is Emmerton. He might be our best most developed prospect that we would be willing to part with... Why not give him a few games to figure out? Fil will be back next game, but I hope Emmerton still is here so we can see him build upon what he does today. I am starting to embrace injuries for what they allow us to find out about our farmboys. However, please stop now okay? I didn't know they were going to pick the alternates... This ruins the whole idea of the draft for me. Honestly what if Lidstrom thinks the one person I don't want is Kane... This is not a good idea to just pick for the sake of picking rivals. If Staal and Lids were selected Captains why can't they pick a team they want? I know that Kane was one of the last players selected when I did my mock draft. I had him playing on my fourth line, now he is stuck on Lids team while Staal gets Green and Kesler? I guess Lidstrom is so good they wanted to handicap his team

Just like Lidstrom or Zetterberg, if the guy wants to make sure he is healthy for the game. I do not think he should be suspended. However if he isn't, and this book ends between other people being suspended for doing this I would be really upset. Guy shouldn't have to play, plus it would piss Bettman off. Always a good thing.

Honestly, I would have rather they picked him and then he turned them down due to injury. So what if he were suspended like Lidstrom, it would have honored the guy and gave him an extra days rest.
