I never want the Wings playing in the same building as the Pistons. It is insulting to both organizations. Plus I love the Joe. Yes. That is asking a bit much of him. But he is without a doubt a guy that makes players better. He should be at least a 70 pt guy if on the top two lines with all-stars.

Yes we are good enough to win the cup. Will we? No. We cannot overcome the amount of calls against us. Even though we are near the bottom in penalties taken in the regular season, we are always at the top of PIMs in the playoffs. They also seem to adjust what they call just to spite us. I hate to say its fixed, alot of it just happens to be that what they dont call last year to help us, they call it this year and we are busy doing it because we got bit last year. Plus Bertuzzi gets called nearly every time his hand leaves his stick, whether or not it is deserved. We have been good enough to win the cup every year since the lockout, and we will continue to be for at least one more year. There is very little we can do to add to our team, save for addition by subtraction. At least we still have the classiest organization and the only fans that don't act like jackasses by doing stupid s***. Hopefully that will never change.

The reason it needs to be Danny that gets moved is look at their forward group. Giroux, Van Rimesdyk, Leino, Carter, Richards, Briere, and I am sure I am forgeting someone. Danny is a natural center, and they already have two fantastic ones and three young wingers. They should trade him who just happens to be the oldest guy, and collecting one of the bigger paychecks on the club. His value is never going to be this high again. I am not saying you trade him for Nabokov, but you can trade him and get something good in return. Remember they are a cap hurtting team. I agree Hartnell is getting old, but I am just speaking realistically. At some point in the future they need to move someone, because there is no way they keep all of those guys. Might as well move him now and get the biggest bang for the buck.

I just don't get Boston... They move Wideman for Horton so they can move Savard??? Getting Seguin wasn't enough to improve your team for next year? I would love to have Savard, but I doubt it could happen. You don't get to get rid of people you don't want on the team for people you do. Sure it would be nice to have him instead of Hudler or Cleary, but it ain't happening yo. You know how hard teams like Columbus were looking for a center??? I betcha they pay out the ass for him and the Central gets even harder putting Nash and Savard together. Good god shoot me now. If they can get creative and move Danny for something cheaper on the back end that helps... fit Nabs under the cap... They might have the cup next season. Really they have absurd riches up front, but that goaltending was really not there.

Nyquist is going to be that third guy on a line with two superstars, like Johan and Pavel, getting absurd numbers and no credit. Good playmaker.

If you check up on what we have done in the last few years in terms of bringing in defensive prospects, you wouldn't need to worry. The fact that we brought in three young defenders in the last two years that are looking like solid 5-7 defensemen prospects, and the years before hand bringing in Jakub an Brendan who should be top four guys, and Ericcson could still be anywhere from 4-7, we really don't need to worry too much about it. Our problems in our system have been up front in the short term past. What we did last year and what we did this year really have fixed that. Next year we most likely will address defense early and have a more balanced draft. I like to have three right handers up front and two on the back end, provided they have the skill set to fit in. The NHL seems to be more accepting of right handers on the Left side as well due to the lack of obstruction. Lets those guys like Ovie fly up and let loose a shot. I like having more right handers so I can buy sticks and try them out at the Red Wings sale. Dandeault got me the stick curve that I still use today.

Now that he is drafted, his head is held high +2 inches. Remember, this is not a pick for a starting goalie either. This is a project who may eventually be a backup at best. This is a stopgap while we wait for Thomas to get up to the pros. When he is in his last year in GR we will pick another goalie in the first two rounds. I would have rather had that team USA guy that Dallas just got. Yet I am not worried. This pick is for emergency use only.

Goaltender has to be next. Need a guy there bad. Then I am sure they will find someone to help the farm. I am happy with our draft, unfortunately all the other central teams drafted very well. Anybody else think the Blues are going to be a ***** of a team in two years?

We traded that first pick down for Emmerton, so he was our first pick and very early in the second round, and by that he should make the team at least. I just am going to be surprised if he used a second for a fourth line guy... I might see him traded at the deadline if there was anyway for us to aquire something of value. I doubt that because of our crappy cap. 1. vomits 2. vomits 3. ******* awesome. 4. EXTREMELY ******* awesome.
