Losing Franzen would be epic fail. Filp would not be missed if we had Hossa, nor would Hudler. Also remember we have to get rid of some Defense. Lilja is making 1.2 million.... For the sake of arguement. We hand Zetter the same deal Pavel has.... We give Hossa a deal that pays 9 million this year, and the same as the euro twins for three more years for four in total. We move Lilja, Sammy and make sure we don't sign anyone until Filppula is resolved. Keeping just enough to make sure that If someone gives him an offer sheet he they will have to give us a first. Then we give Johan a contract that will fit under the year after and will go up after that, assuming that Lids will be getting even less and the cap will go up again. Then With Filppula either gone via RFA and replaced by Franzen on the second line with Hossa and huds as his mates, or give him a real small one year deal and let him go after and forget about Mac and Downy. I still would rather see Howard get called up, he needs to start learning the real game. Let's face it, any goaltender would work for us in backup. Our defense is abusrd.
