Put something in there about Robert Lang and his play last year too ok? I think it was overlooked during the past season, but did any of you guys ever notice that sometimes, somehow, Lang often gave the appearance or perception that he was not playing each shift to the pinnacle of his abilities and talent?

Believe me - it was no day at the beach. Well....yeah it was, but can you imagine the inhumanity? You can see by the shadows that the sun was DIRECTLY overhead. Very hot 82-ish degrees- had to jump in the ocean many times - 82-ish degrees. A small wave came in and washed our feet and then? Our chairs slanted about 5 degrees into the sand. Hey - we're tough folks, and we made it through fine. Scary times though. F.E.M.A said we'd be OK, and they were right. You ever had your chair suddenly slant like that? Man oh man. I don't even wanna talk about it right now. aloha

Since you bring up the Vipers - and speaking of marketing - My wife and I once made an attempt to take my little brother to one of their regular season games, with "free tickets" that were on many counters at various party stores in the Detroit area. This would have been his first hockey game. We walked around the Palace concourse until we reached the "free" section and were told by an usher that the "free section" was full. "Sorry". Walked around for a bit more to ask some questions about exactly WTF I was supposed to do now? Nope - no answers. So I had to tell my 8 year old brother that we had to leave. And then I had to threaten to remove the balls off the parking attendant who tried to refuse me my parking money back. Banner ******* day! Proud day. On another quick note: I watch a lot of the west coast games out here and they have some awesome deals. Y'know the ones? "Hey folks! 4 Kings tix for saturday, 4 hot dogs and 4 cokes for ~$44!" I think that puts asses in seats.

I "run into" Curt Bennett on a weekly basis. Seems most of his fam was in the hockey biz. Look 'em up. He builds some very nice waterfalls on the island nowadays. My fam knew PLENTY of talented and 'smart' players in juniors. Housed 'em during travel team. My uncles know Dave Reid well. (Dallas Stars) "It's because his dad was the coach..........he's slow....." My dad's 3 younger brothers all say my dad is a better skater and a smarter hockey player than Dave................hell........who knows........
