OK - I'll try to pick the words carefully. I don't recall saying I was hurt by hearing anything. And yes - rumors do make sense to me. I have no beef with trading players, talking about trading players or talking about rumors. There's a seperate >> PLACE << for that is all.
-
On that note - I pick up a LOT of west coast games here - so I get a good look at this LaBarbera from LA. He's listed as 6'2". Anyone know if that's for real? When he stands up he looks 10 feet tall. aloha P.S. We're keeping Pavel.

I was gonna mention that as well.......does a 'link' to a rumor somehow pass as verifiable? Odd.......

Bowman material?

Sorry all, the Mule it is.....can't override TheCaptainSteveYzerman. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Red Wings rookie Johan Franzen plays like a Mule November 1, 2005 An unknown entering camp, he impresses with work ethic By John Niyo / The Detroit News DETROIT -- When the captain speaks, everyone listens. So earlier this fall, when Steve Yzerman saddled rookie forward Johan Franzen with his own, hand-picked nickname, it stuck. Like it or not, Franzen, a 25-year-old Swede, henceforth would be known simply as "The Mule." "Yeah, that's my new name," said Franzen, a burly, 6-foot-2, 210-pounder, with a laugh. "I know what it means, but I'm not sure what to do with it. ... It's easy to remember, at least." "Yzerman nicknamed him 'The Mule,' and that's what he is: a big, strong guy who just goes over the top of you," coach Mike Babcock said. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- aloha

Well, it's about 1/4 way through the season and I think you and I will just have to agree and be the happy ones this season.

There never was any "natural passion" in my view. Some expansion team moved to an expansion city doesn't really get it for me. Cheap shot here and there at best. ESPN had a blast with it I guess.....I'd rather watch the Wings play a number of other teams - reg season or otherwise. aloha

Here's to hoping these threads stay at this 'urgency-level' all season. Mixing up a fwd or 2 on the fourth line, and who gets the 6th or 7th Dman spot down the line. Awfully nice 'problems' to discuss here. That said, Rivers is grossly overpaid (league minimum). Lebda is no great risk there. And looks to me like Boots has to await an 'i-word' and for Mowers to be moved to have a shot this year? aloha

Just delete this poll.......once again the Wings go without.
-
Yup.....get Sergei "back'? For what a week? Gimme Pavel and 2 solid yrs. Save me a few months of drama - the other choices are a solid 'no thanks'.

Don't be conflicted. How could anyone vote against the Leafs and call themselves a Wings fan. A Wings vs. Leafs final would be happy madness! f**king Calgary? The Sens? Please.........Who CARES? I know exactly what you mean - but I am an old fart.
-
No need to choose now.

90%? I don't know about that. The flaw I see in your equation would be that, "enforcer for Y's team challenges the enforcer for X's team." Enforcer for Y's team should be going after "instigator X" in your scenario. (AFTER that, enforcers from team X and Y may or may not want to settle it further, but that is not a neccesity in the unwritten rules.)
-
I guess it would be a cost issue.....I guess? And i agree - I don't have the answer, but exactly how old can this squad afford to be.....I'd rather roll the dice on a kid from GR. Lord forbid we let a kid try and play his way into the bigs.
-
Yeah - Well I consider myself a lifelong NHL fan - and that Aussie Rules Football looks too rough to me! Not to mention - I don't get it. Seems like they bounce the ball for no appearant reason sometimes. To each their own right?
-
Agreed......we don't have enough on the plate already?
-
No offense taken. A drunk is a drunk. Addict is an addict. No matter their job. I agree with your post. They did what they did. We'll never know for sure why? I do know we wouldn't let Keith Richards play 4th line tough guy just because he's high though right? Probie and Mac have skills......and may they stay sober. And may Bootland keep Stevie safe. You hear us Boots??????

Just asking because I think we're starting to see some true colors. I won't even vote for now.

Let's give it up for the kids from West Oahu this season. They brought the trophy back to the USofA. Extra inning homer did the job. Ewa Beach No Ka Oi !!!!! If you'd like, here's the >> Full Story

Anybody else remember his last game with the Habs?

My bad............Of course Stevie should have been a choice. I guess I was just being angry is all. I just see Ken Holland in a different light without the big wallet in his back pocket is all. (Anyone, and I do mean anyone, can make a business work with unlimited resources......make a mistake? Spend it away! POOF) My bad......... We can just put your vote in a write-in for Stevie. :::::::EDIT:::::::::::: Ya gotta admit though ----- there are some close results up there on this poll......

Quick question for Griffin season tix holders or single game goers. How much? Tix? Food? Beers? Pops? Jerseys/Hats etc etc...... Just curious is all. ? ?
