We'll agree to disagree but I find your arrogence in your assumptions lessons the impact of your argument. There really isn't an "authority" that you can point too that makes you right or me wrong (or vise versa) as i've said it's a matter of persepctive. It's an opinion. If you go purely by numbers and factor in nothing else the argument takes an entirly different take.

maybe it's my blind all consuming hatred for the pens but i'm really not all that impressed by them. Carolina outplayed the hell out of them for most of that period but failed to convert. I don't really think it was anything pitts did, just carolina trying to much cute stuff. The pens have been opportunistic i'l give them that. The difference between us and the canes is that they may give you six or seven quality chances from a lapse on D a night. You're lucky to get two against us.

thing about both these teams,....both the canes PP and the pens PK will both be wildly ineffective against the wings. The pens PK in particular where they all collapse on the goalie arn't going to happen with homer in front of the net.

oh man,...i have a guy i grew up with, he's a massive pens fan. Doesn't know a thing about the NHL in general but he knows the pens (common, i've found) Anyway, it doesn't matter,...the wings "always" "buy the cup" "buy the refs" "cheat" etc. etc. etc. The worst part is listening to his twisted perspective. During the ducks series i got so many txt messages from him saying that the wings bought the refs, even during game seven! The hatred of this team is totally irrational. The funniest thing to me living in Raleigh is the irrational hatred most canes fans have for the wings. It's like they can't let 02 go. Gah, i'll never hear the end of it if we beat them for the cup this year.

While it's true that there were blown calls on both sides this series, the ones against the wings were truly brutal. The no goal against hossa prolonged this series by a game more than likley, and the Chrisy Pronger catapaulting hudler into Hiller was just stupid. The goonery that happened at the end of ducks homes games, the cheap shots,..it was all Major. you point to the stuff the wings got away with,...you're talking about diving and obstruction versus intent to injure, your argument doesn't hold water given that the missesed calls in favor of the ducks greatly helped them.

i think we'd slaughter the canes, they play more of a skill game, which plays into our hands. Pittsburgh's team is a one man show right now, Crosby's taken that entire team on his back so far this series. Shut him down (like we did last year) and it's not so much of a challenge.

What a game,...i called Canes vs. Wings at the start of the playoffs as a joke,..i'm looking like a freaking genius right now,..albeit not by my own merit. Everyone is saying pitts is going dominate Carolina, i'm not so sure.
