Hollands a smart man. Ideally he'd like to keep everyone, but we all know he can't do that. Leino has said already in the press that if he's In GR next season he's going home. We need to keep this guy around, he's dynamic offensively like pavel and hank are dynamic. I think Holland is going to let other teams go crazy on offers for hudler and get picks in return.

Roy-Hated everything about him. His arrogance being the chief thing, he really did believe his own press. I remember when the dives retired his number, the announcer said something of the effect like "now to the rafters, the greatest goalie in the history of the NHL" you could see Roy nodding his head in agreement. Made me sick. Stevens-Some people will question this pick, but i've just never liked the guy. I guess its' one of those things, his game was to hurt people, that's what he added. Granted he did it in spectacular and very legal ways and he was a great D man, i just don't care for the fact that he ended or great inhibited several players careers after a few playoffs series against him. Pronger-Arrogant, looks to injure, is about 1000000000 times overrated. Will be known as that "other" Defensemen from the lidstrom era.

How's washingtons cup runs been since that deal; oh wait. Honestly; Fleschmann still would be playing in GR and Green would probably be there too. How do we known a guy like kindl won't produce like him, or Ericsson for that matter. We won't until they're up here in the big show. Then people will say stuff like "red wings turn last pick in the draft into future norris trophy canidate."

I could spell it out in graphic detail if you'd prefer.

You know what, i do. Here's why i'm so sick of my favorite sport getting the ol' Cleveland steamer from every Sports news agency south of the U.S. Canada Border. Hockey is on an upswing, from a league that was on it's death bed after the lockout, the NHL has made impressive strides (Gary Bettmans dumbassery not with standing). It feels good, to see a league where i can respect the people who play it, exceed.

about damn time, Pro basketball is about as exciting as watching paint dry.

Conklin looked real good today. I'd say right now, this team is one small 4th line energy move away from a repeat. I really like the idea of a scott nichol on our 4th line, a Chris neil would be ideal but he makes to much. We never really replaced the drake.

This is ridiculous, he didn't do anything wrong; He posted Kronwall picked up on waivers by the caps Guess what, guys name is Kronwall Just because some of you don't have the ten second pause to go "gee the wings would never waive OUR kronner" doesn't mean you get to take it out on this guy.

and he if he had Crosby's baby face, and a good fine Canadian (or American!) background, they would be.

i've just lost all respect for wayne gretzky. As a fan i was always a gretzky apologist on practically everything, but honestly? He cries like a little girl.

Yes i'm very much away of who Chris Chelios was and is as before he was a red wing i spent many a year hating his guts. You missed my point entirely, I'm not exactly talking about Chelios as a person or comparing his legendary Career to Wesley's, but theoretically stating; a D man who played his best years on another team, but came to another team and helped mold a group of young D men while playing some of his best hockey in years during the Stanley cup finals. Obviously you don't watch a lot of Canes hockey (not that I blame you or anything) but it's silly for you to say something like that if you're not a fan of the team. It's like me coming here and questioning the impact of a Red wing without knowing the first thing about the team and it's workings. Wesley embodied the term "relentless" which was then Coach Laviolette rallying cry during the 2006 playoffs. In the Finals especially he proved to be invaluable after the canes blew a 3-1 series lead in heartbreaking fashion. In the locker room he was a vocal leader who calmed some frantic nerves on the blue line and allowed a nearly perfect game from Carolina's Defence. Seriously, i understand if you don't think he's on par with Steve Yzerman. He's not, not in any shape or form. But if you don't understand what he means to that fan base and that franchise it's kinda silly degrade it.

A. The red wings are and always will be my favorite team, i've follwed them for 15+ years. B. I'm also a carolina hurricanes fan, kinda hard not to watch them with mild intrest living in Raleigh North Carolina C. An original Six franchise is retiring a "heart and soul" player too, did you know? D. Glen Wesley taught the young canes how to win, We wings fans are spoiled, but imagine this if you will. What if we arn't the most storied U.S hockey franchise in the history of the league. What if we're a team not unlike Carolina (thank God we're not) Would it surprise you to see a guy like Chelios have his number retired? Then why are you having a s*** fit about wesley? He was that kind of player for Carolina, he gave all he had and after winning a cup he walked away. I'll point out that the D in Carolina has never been the same sense.

i could give a rip about kovalev, same primadonna he's always been. I am however deeply concerned with Langer.

Yatzee, if you look at most Brett Hull (and other noted NHL snipers) most of the time, they're looking at the D men, looking at the pass coming, seeing who's around them. they very rarley are looking at the goal admiring where they shot.

A great idea and the kid gets all the kudos in the world for making them That said, the highest scoring RW in NHL history has gone on record several times saying that he never picked a spot once in his entire career, (on a one timer at least) he just aimed at a corner and fired. Of course this is brett hull were talking about....

Gerber is one of the most maddeningly inconsistant goalies i've ever watched. I got to see him play a lot when he was a hurricane. One game he would be perfect, the next game he couldn't stop a beachball.

pushing the glass, ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME! omg gosh wayne,...seriously? they kicked those fans out, for tapping on the glass behind wayne, i just lost a huge amount of respect for him.
-
i'm watching the PHX game and i've heard as a coach gretzky has been a huge dick actually. Probably guys throwing trash over the glass i'm sure. But i've never seen that,...ever been watching hockey for years.
-
After lidstrom scored, Gretz starting pointing behind him, saying security needed to take away two fans, i have no idea what they did, but i can't imagine it was anything more than mouthing off at the great one. Maybe they threw trash over the glass or something but seriously?
-
i've never seen a coach ask for fans to get kicked out, that's a new one. Seriously, no wonder he coaches in PHX they let him do whatever he wants.
-
buys time by interfering with hossa you mean? yup, that's buying time.

great,.....
