As a goalie every time i see someone doing something silly like that, i think, if i was the goalie the min. i see him bend over to pick up the puck i'm poke checking it off his stick. Most NHL goalies dash to the top of the slot in a shootout, they wouldn't give a kid like that a chance. Oh totally, i teach fifth grade and i have a kid in my school he plays for the junior hurricanes. I saw him play the other day and what impresses me about this kid, is he stand in front of the other goalie like homer and deflects pucks. To me that's infinitly more impressive.

poor bates, there was a time, when people around the NHL thought he was a budding super-star. During the 02' cup run, we faced the BBC line for the canes. Yup, he at one time had Brindamour and cole as linemates,.....how far he's fallen.

Best Defensemen of our time, hands down. People will throw out other names i'm sure, but i think most of that stims from him being Swedish. The numbers don't lie, the Norris' don't lie, the cups don't lie. The man is a machine.

In NC college basketball is king. No matter what you've heard, it's bigger than nascar, bigger than football, it's the champ. People will watch that even if they hate both of those teams, it's sad really.

evidently the people saying this was a dirty hit havn't watched hockey very long. Hasek has done THIS EXACT SAME PLAY at least a hundred times in his career. He even did it last year in the playoffs. Granted no one has ever flipped over him and i think that's the reason this was called tripping.

Like i said in the recchi thread on the trade rumors, i'm probably biased. But i saw recchi be a pivotal part of winning a cup for Carolina two season ago. I know that was two seasons ago, but from what i've read Mark is still very hungry and if used properly, can still contribute. We won't pick him up, but i'd love to see it.

Goalie gear is stupid big. It just doesn't make sense to me. When Stan Mikita and Bobby Hull started killing goalies with banana curves, the league stepped in and put a stop to it. Why hasn't the same been done to goalie gear?

Rod Brindamour-he reminds me alot of yzerman sometimes. not as good offensively, but he's tough as nails and a good leader Eric Cole-I've always coveted one of the last true power forwards left in this league AO-he's just fun to watch, period.

there is no way Tampa trades Vinny, unless they want to do there best boston impersionation, in which case i say we throw the farm at tampa,....either way, playing arm chair gm, boyle or richards would make alot more sense. Espeically boyle as his recent goings in tampa would indicate he's not going to resign there.
