um,....during those 15 years you're talking about, we won three cups,....the devils had the same level of success, the avs had close to it, but three cups in six years is the important stat. I suppose every wings fan wants the cup every year, but deep down most of us know that's not going to happen. So most of us feel fortunate to have won the cups we did. Not to rag on you or anything but i'm pretty sure there's a few blackhawks fans that would love to have seen one cup in the span you're talking about i guess i should ask you, is there a Kansas city royals syndrome in Chi town?

I remember clearly,..CLEARLY, when the Bolts were the laughing stock of the NHL. Me and my friends growing up, would tell each other things like "you're going to play for the lightining when you grow up!" It was an insult,..then they won a cup and i remember me and my friends looking around going,.....what is going on.

that is so typical of a coward like avery. I have little doubt in my mind as to if he actually did this and i'm sure this isn't an isolated incident on his part. A coward would do something like this, and then blaim everyone but himself for doing the action. I hope Belak knocks him into next year.

Yet another,.."oh my gosh" moment about wayne gretzky,....he and his brother are the highest scoring pair of brothers in NHL history. His brother never played in an NHL game.

you forgot a little father son duo Bobby and Brett Hull. One's arguable the most dominate Lw in the history of the game, the other is the 3rd highest goal scorer in history and 2nd for most goals scored in a season. In fact, statically, he's one of the few that's actually eclipsed there superstar father.

i've said it before, and i'll say it again. NHL players are the most skilled athelets in the world.

It's not okay The blackhawks are acceptable, the name isn't offensive and the mascot is a proud symbol. The redskins have an offensive name, but they've made an effort to downplay the native american influence of there name in recent years. The cleveland indians are a joke, a complete, hurtful, racists Joke. And it's perfectly okay to be that, as there's not enough Native Americans in enough power to do anything about it. Imagine this,...the Cleveland *****'s,....and there mascot is a white guy in "black face" eatting watermellon and fried chicken,.....that's offenseive right? So's a big, goofy, gap toothed guy, in Red as crimson face paint, with a ridicoulous feather hanging from his head.

Eric Lindros for the hall,....i dunno,....it's debatable,.... But to call Eric Lindros a bust is freaking idotic. Hart trophy winners are not busts. Was he Gretzky? No, But for about 5 years he looked like he was on his way to being something altogether different. In fact if anything i'd say lindros was more Howe then Gretzky (blasphomy, but true.) I'm willing to bet money you became a hockey fan after 1997 to say something that ridiculous. Eric Lindros in his prime was one of the most feared forces in the NHL at that time. A bust is someone who is hyped like he was and never even comes close. As has been said Daigle is a good example. He was hyped like Gretzky or Crosby but never did a damn thing in the NHL and stopped playing because he lost heart. Not because Scott Stevens ate his soul. Hell you could make a better point in saying Keith Premadonna was more of a bust than lindros. Eric was everything that chump was supposed to be, he just wasn't there for long. If Scott Stevens never knocks his bats out of whack we could be talking about a player who could have gone down in the top 10 of all time.

Please point out to me where in my argument i said we should sign D-mac? Quite frankly you just debated to yourself by not reading my post at all. You're absoutly right, he's not that player anymore. But, In 1997 he scored a goal that won us a stanley cup. Unless your God, or the Grand wizard of OZ, you have no idea how that series would have turned out. To say otherwise is speculative, and totally impossible to prove or debate.
