well here's the thing, Drake played pretty well in st. louis too. Granted he was waived (which i don't put much stock in, lots of players have been waived one year and played great the next) and he was no where near how hasek played in ottawa but people seem to think drake is incapable of putting up points. Last year wasn't to great for him he only had 12 points but he's conistently scored in the 30 point mark his entire career. in 06 he had 24 assists,...a playmaker who can level a guy,..i'll take it.

I agree, but i think you'll be hard pressed to find many supporters for lebda on here. For one, he isn't a big physical D man, which mysteriously makes him a medicore D man to alot of fans,...curious. Anyway, he probably will never be a top six guy, but he's come a very long way. When he was signed and brought to GR everyone on this board hated him. When he was brought to the big team, most everyone jumped all over holland. There was a brief time when he started to get some notice, but after damond lankow cheap shoted the ever living hell out of him (which begs the question,..why are guys always cheap shoting lebda? ville ninman, dallas drake, daymond lankow,..is he really that pesky?) he wasn't a factor in the playoffs and some people have a short memory.

on the contray, i bet Dallas does trade one of there bigger names if they don't make the playoffs. several years in a row of complete playoff failure would warrant some stiff action if they failed to make the post season.

i'm rooting for them, i hate to see an original six franchise not make the playoffs over,..say atlanta.

i really think that Grigs will find his way into a top 6 spot at sometime this year. WE've needed a top six forward for about 3 years now and if he fits the bill,..i think pavel the playmaker will make sure he gets some goals.

Well I for one think this is a good idea, Draper has shown he can score despite his hands of stone. In 04 he had the highest goal production of his career and if he plays in an offensive role i can see him doing more.

it was inevitable, The Russians are a proud people, who are proud of there history in hockey. After getting there tails handed to them for the entire series i can't blame them for having short fuses. That said, i'm pretty happy about Canada making them look stupid. Russian hockey desperately needs to check itself.

But you also gotta remember if he was left on for a while he might get a bit strong. That said we as a team have a habit of icing our D men for to long, so he may not be able to bring the heat against the glass weither he's strong or not.
